ANSWER KEY:-

Q.1. Sol-(B) Weight of the boat = 6×52 – 5×38

= 312 – 190 = 122 kg.

= 4 ×2870 = 11480

Q.2. Sol-(D) (2
2 + 42 + 62 +1...402)

Q.3. Sol-(A)

Q.4. Sol-(C)
The greatest number = H.C.F. of (110 – 2) and (128 – 2)

= H.C.F. of 108 and 126 = 18

Q.5. Sol-(B) Let the four consecutive even number is

x+2, x+4, x+6, x+8

⇒ x + 2 + x + 4 + x + 6 + x + 8 = 748

4x + 20 = 748

4x = 748 - 20

⇒ x = 728/4

x = 182

.'. Smaller no. = 18 + 2

= 184

Q.6. Sol-(C) a = 23, b = – 29

25a
2 + 40ab + 16b2 = (5a)2 + 2×5a×4b + (4b)2

= (5a+4b)
2

= [(5×23) +4×(–29)]

= (115 – 116) = – 1

Q.7. Sol-(D)

Q.8. Sol-(D)

Q.9. Sol-(A)

Q.10. Sol-(A) 0.5 × 5 + 0.25 × 0.5 +0.5 × 4 + 0.5 × 0.75

= 0.5(5 + 0.25 +4 + 0.75)

= 0.5(5 + 5)

= 0.5 × 10 = 5
