Answers:

1. Sol. (A)

A: B = x: 8

B: C = 12: z

A: C =

प्रश्नानुसार,

x: z = 4: 3

2. Sol. (C)

According to the question,

On solving above, we get

n = 4

Sum of the number of sides of both the polygons = 4 + 8 = 12

3. Sol. (A)

According to the question,

(x + 7)2 = 100

x2 + 49 + 14x = 100

x2 + 14x – 51 = 0

x = – 17, 3

4. Sol. (D)

4% S.P. = 5% C.P. … (i)

20% S.P. = 22% C.P. + 120 … (ii)

25% C.P. = 22% C.P. + 120

3% C.P. = 120

C.P. = 4000

S.P. = 5000

Required difference = Rs.1000

5. Sol. (B)

Let height = x

length = 6x

breadth = 2x

According to the question,

x × 6x × 2x = 768000

x = 40

Total surface area of the parallelepiped = 2 (40 × 240 + 240 × 80 + 80 × 40)

= 64000 cm²

6. Sol. (B)

(a2 + b2) (m2 + n2) = (am + bn)2

a2m2 + b2m2 + a2n2 + b2n2 = a2m2 + b2n2 + 2abmn

b2m2 + a2n2 = 2abmn

(an – bm)2 = 0

an = bm

a/m = b/n

7. Sol. (C)

Using options,

B = 8 km.

8. Sol. (D)

Distance moved by first train in crossing a pole = 14 × 7 = 98 m.

Distance moved by second train in crossing a pole = 16 × 9 = 144 m.

Total distance in crossing each other = 98 + 144 = 242 m.

Relative speed = 9 – 7 = 2

Time = 242/2 = 121 sec.

9. Sol. (C)

Total work = 80M × 30D = 2400

80M × 10 = 800

70M × 10 = 700

60M × 10 = 600

50M × 6 = 300

Total = 2400

Number of days = 10 + 10 + 10 + 6 = 36 days

10.Sol. (C)

Discount = 8%

S.P = 17940

MP =

Now, gain = 19.6%

CP =

Gain = 19500 - 15000 = Rs./रु.4500

Gain % =
