3- UP govt announces it's maiden Agriculture Export policy, 2019
In a major step towards doubling the income of farmers in the state, Uttar Pradesh Government has announced it's maiden Agriculture Export policy, 2019. The decision was taken in a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Cabinet also cleared a proposal to compensate victims of lynching as directed by the Supreme Court.
The government aims at doubling the export of agricultural commodities by 2024 with the help of farmer producer organisations and various steps like giving incentives and promoting startups. In another major decision, the government had for the first time decided to allow procurement of paddy from contract farming and sharecroppers with certain riders to ensure payment of minimum support price to genuine farmers.

4- Sports Ministry derecognises Paralympic Committee of India
The Sports Ministry has de-recognised the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), citing a violation of the National Sports Code in the body's decision to sack President Rao Inderjit Singh.
In the suspension order issued yesterday, the Ministry wrote that the PCI has been penalised for misgovernance.
The Ministry had received a complaint from Mr. Singh, who was removed by a majority vote, and it found the federation's response to it unsatisfactory.
The PCI had changed its byelaws to bar public servants from it during a May 4 Annual General Meeting. Singh is Minister of State (Planning) in the Union Government.
