1- Cognizant’s Debashis becomes Mindtree’s 3rd CEO in its 20-yr history. Chatterjee, who previously led the digital systems and technology practice at Cognizant, will become Mindtree's third CEO in its two-decade existence. He replaces Rostow Ravanan, who quit along with Chairman Krishnakumar Natarajan and Vice Chairman NS Parthasarathy after L&T's hostile takeover.

2- India-born doctor Bhasha Mukherjee was crowned Miss England 2019 on Thursday at a ceremony in Newcastle. The 23-year-old moved to England with her parents at the age of nine and settled in Derby. Mukherjee holds two different medical degrees, one in medical sciences and the other in medicine and surgery.

3- Pakistan has opened the doors of the historic Gurdwara Chowa Sahib in Punjab province to Sikh devotees, including from India, 72 years after Partition. This comes ahead of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh guru, in November. The Gurdwara was in a state of neglect since 1947 when Sikhs migrated to India after Partition.
बंटवारे के 72 साल बाद पाकिस्तान ने पंजाब प्रांत में स्थित ऐतिहासिक चोआ साहिब गुरुद्वारा भारत समेत सभी जगह के सिखों के लिए खोल दिया। यह कदम नवंबर में गुरु नानक देव की 550वीं जयंती की तैयारी के मद्देनज़र उठाया गया है। दरअसल, बंटवारे के समय सिखों के पलायन के बाद से ही यह गुरुद्वारा उपेक्षित था।
4- The Cricket Club of India (CCI) will name the gate on Dinshaw Vachha Road at Churchgate, Mumbai after former Indian cricketer Vijay Merchant. Merchant, who passed away in 1987, had played 10 Tests for India. He represented Mumbai in domestic cricket and was the first Indian to smash 11 first-class double centuries.
क्रिकेट क्लब ऑफ इंडिया (CCI) के अनुसार, पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटर विजय मर्चेंट के नाम पर मुंबई के चर्चगेट में दिनशा वाचा रोड पर गेट का नाम रखा जायेगा। मर्चेंट, जिनका निधन1987 में हुआ था, ने भारत के लिए 10 टेस्ट खेले थे। उन्होंने घरेलू क्रिकेट में मुंबई का प्रतिनिधित्व किया और 11 प्रथम श्रेणी दोहरे शतक बनाने वाले पहले भारतीय थे।
5- India dropped 2 places to 7th position in World Bank's GDP ranking according to the World Bank, UK and France have surpassed India in GDP Ranking 2018 and the Indian economy has slipped to seventh place. India's GDP was $ 2.73 trillion, while the UK's was $ 2.83 trillion and France's was $ 2.77 trillion. Significantly, in 2017, India was ranked fifth on this list.
2 स्थान लुढ़ककर विश्व बैंक की जीडीपी रैंकिंग में भारत 7वें स्थान पर पहुंचा । विश्व बैंक के अनुसार, जीडीपी रैंकिंग 2018 में यूके व फ्रांस ने भारत को पछाड़ दिया है और भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था लुढ़ककर 7वें स्थान पर पहुंच गई है। भारत की जीडीपी $2.73 ट्रिलियन थी, जबकि यूके की $2.83 ट्रिलियन और फ्रांस की $2.77 ट्रिलियन थी। गौरतलब है कि भारत 2017 में इस सूची के पांचवे पायदान पर था।
6- Ministry of Defence (MoD) has launched 10 e-cars for its officials based in Delhi to help fight pollution in the city. The first batch of e-cars is a pilot project and will be expanded in the future. The initiative was visualised on World Environment Day (June 5).
रक्षा मंत्रालय (MoD) ने शहर में प्रदूषण से लड़ने में मदद के लिए दिल्ली स्थित अपने अधिकारियों के लिए 10 ई-कारें लॉन्च की हैं। ई-कारों का पहला बैच एक पायलट प्रोजेक्ट है और भविष्य में इसका विस्तार किया जाएगा। इसकी कल्पना विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस (5 जून) पर की गई थी।
7- Adarsh Singh wins double gold in shooting meet. In Shooting, young Adarsh Singh outclassed his rivals in the Sardar Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Masters competition, winning the gold medal in both the men and junior 25 metres rapid fire pistol event in New Delhi.

8- Indian men's 20km race walk team wins bronze after seven years through the upgrade. The Indian team of KT Infra, Babubhai Panucha and Surinder Singh had finished fourth in the men's 20km team event behind China, Ukraine and Australia in May 2012 at Saransk. But Ukrainian race walker Ruslan Dmytrenko was disqualified after seven years on the basis of his biological passport analysis, and that led to the Indian team's result being upgraded to bronze.
भारतीय पुरुषों की टीम ने 20 किमी पैदल चाल में अपग्रेड के माध्यम से सात साल बाद कांस्य जीता. केटी इंफ्रा, बाबूभाई पानुचा और सुरिंदर सिंह की भारतीय टीम मई 2012 में सरांस्क में चीन, यूक्रेन और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के पीछे पुरुषों की 20 किमी टीम स्पर्धा में चौथे स्थान पर रही थी। लेकिन यूक्रेनी रेस वॉकर रुस्लान ड्मेट्रेंको को उनके जैविक पासपोर्ट विश्लेषण के आधार पर सात साल बाद अयोग्य घोषित कर दिया गया और इसके चलते भारतीय टीम का परिणाम कांस्य में बदल गया।
