3. Indian Navy's submarine 'Vela' of Project 75 launched
The Navy launched the Scorpene-class submarine Vela, the fourth of six underwater warships being built in India with French collaboration, with an aim to boost Indian capability to defend and secure the strategic sea lanes.
स्कॉर्पीन श्रेणी की चौथी पनडुब्बी ‘वेला’ का जलावतरण
नौसेना ने स्कॉर्पीन श्रेणी की चौथी पनडुब्बी ‘वेला’ का जलावतरण किया। फ्रांस के सहयोग से भारत में निर्मित होने वाली छह युद्धक पनडुब्बियों में से यह चौथी है। इसका मकसद सामरिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण समुद्री क्षेत्र में भारत की रक्षा एवं सुरक्षा क्षमता बढ़ाना है।
4. Missile destroyer 'INS Ranjit' decommissioned
Frontline missile destroyer of the Indian Navy'INS Ranjit' was decommissioned at the Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam, after serving the Indian navy for 36 years.
INS Ranjit, the third of the five Kashin-class destroyers built by the erstwhile USSR, was commissioned on September 15 1983.
मिसाइल विध्वसंक आईएनएस रंजीत नौसेना से हुआ सेवामुक्त
भारतीय नौसेना का अग्रणी मिसाइल विध्वसंक ‘आईएनएस रंजीत’ 36 साल तक सेवा देने के बाद सेवामुक्त हो गया।
आईएनएस रंजीत को 15 सितंबर, 1983 को नौसेना में शामिल किया गया था। वह पूर्ववर्ती सोवियत संघ द्वारा निर्मित काशिन श्रेणी के पांच विध्वंसकों में तीसरा है।
