2. Boeing appoints Salil Gupte as India head
US aircraft manufacturer Boeing has named Salil Gupte as its India head, effective March 18.
Gupte succeeds Prat Kumar, who was appointed vice president and program manager of Boeing's F-15 fighter aircraft program in November last year.

गुप्ते, प्रात कुमार का स्थान लेंगे। कुमार को पिछले साल नवंबर में बोइंग के एफ-15 लड़ाकू विमान कार्यक्रम का उपाध्यक्ष और प्रबंधक बनाया गया है।

Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir Bashiruddin Ahmad died. He was 82.
Ahmad was the Grand Mufti of Jammu and Kashmir for over three decades.

Gordon Banks, England’s Football world cup winner goalkeeper, died. He was 81.

5. ICAI elects Prafulla P Chhajed as president
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) said Prafulla P Chhajed has been elected as its president for 2019-20 year.
Atul Kumar Gupta has been elected as vice-president for 2019-20, the ICAI said in a release.
