ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR HARYANA POLICE 2018

There are 3 criteria on which your eligibility is judged for Haryana Police Recruitment 2018 exam - Age, Education & Physical Standards. You need to qualify the following eligibility standards to apply for this Haryana Police exam.

Educational Qualification: (AS ON 01.01.2018)

Haryana Police Constable:
  • You must have passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent from a recognized education Board/Institution.
  • You should have studied Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard or higher education.
Haryana Police Sub-Inspector:
  • You should have completed graduation from any recognized university.
  • You must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit upto Matric standard or higher education.
Age Limit (As on 01.04.2018)

The candidate’s age should not be below 21 and not more than 25 years as on 01. 04. 2018 which means he/she must not be born before 01.04.1997 and not after 02.04.1988. Check out the age relaxation for various categories in the table below.

Haryana Police 2018 Exam Pattern:

The Haryana Police selection process will consist of 4 stages.
1. Knowledge Test
2. Physical Screening Test
3. Physical Measurement Test
4. Document Verification

1. Knowledge Test –
  • This is an objective test of 80 marks.
  • There is no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • The medium of examination is Hindi except where the knowledge of English language is to be tested.
  • The standard of questions will be of 10+2 examination of Board of School Education Haryana for the post of Constable and graduation for the post of Sub-Inspector.
The exam pattern for Knowledge Test is given in the table below:

2. Physical Screening Test (PST)
  • If you qualify the knowledge Test then you will have to appear for Physical Screening.
The 2nd Stage i.e PST will be of the following pattern:

3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
  • After qualifying the Physical Screening Test, you will have to undergo Physical Measurement Test.
  • You will have to qualify the standards prescribed in the Physical Criteria.

4. Document Verification
  • If you qualify the PMT then you will be invited for the scrutiny of documents.
  • There will be additional weightage to academic performance checked during document verification.
Once you qualify all the 4 stages, you will be hired as a Constable or Sub-Inspector in Haryana Police Department.

How to apply for Haryana Police 2018

  • You can register through the official website of HSSC.
  • Candidates should have valid email ID and mobile no.which should be kept active till the declaration of results. It will help him/her in getting call letter/advices etc. by email/SMS.
  • Submit the Application Form.
  • The payment can be made by using debit card/credit card/Internet Banking by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
  • On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form with fee details will be generated; which may be printed for record.
  • Take out the Print Out of the Application Form for future reference.

Syllabus For Haryana Police 2018

General Studies – In this objective of questions about general knowledge of surrounding society of the candidates to test the awareness about surrounding activities. History of India (Haryana mostly) & its Adjacent Countries, Culture, Geography, Economical Scenario and Constitution of India & State Administration, Political series of Country, Five-Year Plan, Contribution of Haryana in National Movement.
Agriculture – Knowledge of History/ Facts of Agriculture, Fruits & Vegetable, Crop Production, Soil, Fertility, Fertilizing, Irrigation and Damage, Weed/Pests Control, Types of Crops, Soil & Land, Horticulture, Plantation and Deforestation etc.
Animal Husbandry – Animal Nutrition and nutritional importance, Animal breeds, the importance of animal, Livestock farming, Dairy, diseases and symptoms in animal etc.
Reasoning – It will include the question of both verbal and non-verbal type. Question will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, problem-solving, relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions, Venn diagrams, relationship concepts and Ability to observe and distinguish patterns etc.
Current Affairs – Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture.
Numerical Ability – The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.
General Science – These tests are designed to test the knowledge and competencies for scientific methodology concepts, principles, techniques and physics, chemistry, life sciences (Biology), the earth/space sciences, technologies etc.

Admit Card for For Haryana Police 2018

Applications who have applied for the Haryana Police Constable Recruitment 2018 will be able to download their admit card online from the official website that is www.hssc.gov.in/. Applications are advised to visit this page regularly to get more details of HSSC CONSTABLE ADMIT CARD 2018.Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) will release the admit card for Constable Written Examination on the official website before 10 to 15 days of examination. Applicants must carry HSSC Admit Card 2018 with valid ID proof on the exam day.

How to Download Admit Card

  • Go to www.hssc.gov.in and click on careers section.
  • Select download Haryana Police call letter for preliminary examination
  • Then enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password
  • Finally click on the submit button, your Haryana Police admit card 2018 will generated and take a print.
  • The Haryana Police admit card is issued and available 10 days prior to the examination. It will be available in the official website of the bank. Candidates are required to download the admit card and get a printed copy of the same.
