3. PM Benjamin Netanyahu nominates Ron Malka as Israel's next envoy to India
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has nominated academician Dr Ron Malka as the country's next envoy to India.
Malka, a senior lecturer at the College of Law and Business and Dean of the graduate programme in financial markets and banking, completed his doctorate from Israel's Bar-IIan University.

इस्राइल के प्रधानमंत्री बेंजामिन नेतन्याहू ने शिक्षाविद् डा. रॉन मल्का को भारत में अपने देश का अगला राजदूत मनोनीत किया है।
मल्का कालेज आफ लॉ एंड बिजनेस में वरिष्ठ लेक्चरर और फाइनेंशियल मार्केट्स एंड बैंकिंग में स्नातक कार्यक्रम के डीन हैं। उन्होंने इस्राइल के बार-इलान विश्वविद्यालय से डाक्टरेट किया है।
4. ISRO places two United Kingdom Earth observation satellites in orbit
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched the NovaSAR and S1-4 earth observation satellites of U.K from the spaceport and placed them in the designated orbit.
NovaSAR is intended to be used for forest mapping, land use and ice cover monitoring, flood and disaster monitoring.
S1-4 will be used for surveying resources, environment monitoring, urban management and disaster monitoring.
इसरो ने दो विदेशी पृथ्वी अवलोकन उपग्रहों को कक्षा में स्थापित किया
भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) ने अपने अंतरिक्ष केंद्र से ब्रिटेन के पृथ्वी अवलोकन उपग्रहों नोवाएसएआर और एस1-4 का प्रक्षेपण किया और निर्दिष्ट कक्षा में सफलतापूर्वक स्थापित किया।
नोवाएसएआर का इस्तेमाल वन्य मानचित्रण, भू उपयोग और बर्फ की तह की निगरानी, बाढ़ और आपदा निगरानी के लिए किया जाना है।
एस 1-4 का उपयोग संसाधनों के सर्वेक्षण, पर्यावरण निगरानी, शहरी प्रबंधन तथा आपदा निगरानी के लिए किया जाएगा।
5. Former top wrestler Andalkar dies in Pune
Well-known wrestler Ganpatrao Andalkar died. He was 83.
Andalkar, a former Olympian who took part in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, had bagged the coveted "Hind Kesari" title in 1960.
पूर्व पहलवान आंदलकर का पुणे में निधन
विख्यात पहलवान गणपतराव आंदलकर का निधन हो गया। वह 83 वर्ष के थे।
पूर्व ओलंपिक खिलाड़ी अंदालकर ने 1964 में तोक्यो ओलंपिक खेलों में हिस्सा लिया था और 1960 में उन्हें ‘‘हिंद केसरी’’ खिताब प्रदान किया गया था।
6. Momota wins Japan badminton title
Japan's Kento Momota defeated Thailand's Khosit Phetpradab to win the Japan Open men's singles badminton title.
Twenty-four-year-old Momota won by 21-14, 21-11.

Former Union petroleum minister Satya Prakash Malaviya died. He was 84.
