Kerala to host global poetry fest
Kerala will host International Poetry Festival on 9 November 2017.
The three-day event, whose theme is Poetry against Xenophobia and Racism, would also have participation from various Indian language including Malayalam, Gujarati, Urdu, Hindi, Panjabi and Marathi.

अंतरराष्ट्रीय काव्य उत्सव नौ नवंबर से तिरूवनंतपुरम में
केरल 9 नवम्बर 2017 को अंतरराष्ट्रीय काव्य उत्सव की मेज़बानी करेगा। तीन दिवसीय इस कार्यक्रम का विषय विदेशियों को पसंद नहीं करने की भावना और नस्लवाद के खिलाफ कविता है।
इस कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न भारतीय भाषाओं के कवि भी शामिल होंगे। इनमें हिंदी, उर्दू, मराठी, पंजाबी, मलयालम और गुजराती शामिल हैं।
China unveils massive island-building vessel
China has unveiled a massive ship 'Tian Kun Hao' described as a magic island maker that is Asia's largest dredging vessel.
The boat named Tian Kun Hao is capable of digging 6,000 cubic meters an hour, the equivalent of three standard swimming pools.
चीन ने द्वीपों का निर्माण करने वाले विशाल पोत का अनावरण किया
चीन ने द्वीपों का निर्माण करने वाले एक विशाल पोत 'तियान कुन हाओ' का अनावरण किया जो खुदाई करने वाला एशिया का सबसे बड़ा पोत है। ‘तियान कुन हाओ’ पोत एक घंटे में 6,000 घन मीटर खुदाई करने की क्षमता रखता है। यह क्षेत्रफल तीन तरणतालों के बराबर है।
Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana launched to promote philately
Minister of Communications Manoj Sinha launched a Pan India scholarship program for school children called Deen Dayal SPARSH Yojana to increase the reach of Philately.
Under the scheme of SPARSH (Scholarship for Promotion of Aptitude & Research in Stamps as a Hobby), it is proposed to award annual scholarships to children of Standard VI to IX having good academic record and also pursuing Philately as a hobby.

डाक टिकट संग्रह को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए दीनदयाल ‘स्पर्श’ योजना का शुभारंभ
संचार मंत्री मनोज सिन्हा ने डाक टिकट संग्रह को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए दीनदयाल स्पर्श योजना का शुभारंभ किया। यह पूरे भारत के स्कूली बच्चों के लिए छात्रवृत्ति योजना है। ‘स्पर्श’ योजना के तहत कक्षा VI से IX तक उन बच्चों को वार्षिक तौर पर छात्रवृत्ति दी जाएगी, जिनका शैक्षणिक परिणाम अच्छा है और जिन्होंने
डाक टिकट संग्रह को एक रूचि के रूप में चुना है।
An indigenously developed light weight 'Glide' bomb has been successfully tested in Chandipur in Odisha. The bomb -- Smart Anti Airfield Weapon (SAAW) -- was dropped from an Indian Air Force aircraft. SAAW will be soon inducted into the armed forces.
