लिक्विड टेलीकॉम टाटा को नियोटेल खरीदेगी
भारत के टाटा समूह के नेतृत्व वाली दक्षिण अफ्रीकी दूरसंचार कंपनी नियोटेल को संपूर्ण अफ्रीका में दूरसंचार सेवा देने वाली कंपनी लिक्विड टेलीकॉम ने खरीदने का निर्णय किया है। इस अधिग्रहण के बाद लिक्विड की पूरे उप सहारा क्षेत्र में फाइबर नेटवर्क उपलब्ध कराने की योजना है।
नियोटेल में भारत के टाटा कम्युनिकेशंस के साथ नेक्सस कनेक्शन की नियोटेल में अल्पांश हिस्सेदारी है। लिक्विड 6.55 अरब रैंड (अफ्रीकी मुद्रा) में नियोटेल का अधिग्रहण करेगी।
Liquid Telecom buys Tata's Neotel
Liquid Telecom, a pan-African telecommunications operator, has announced plans to provide fibre network access across sub-Saharan Africa after acquiring Tata-led South African communications network operator Neotel.
Tata Communications of India and minority shareholders in Neotel led by Nexus Connexion agreed for Liquid Telecom to acquire Neotel for 6.55 billion rand.

रिलायंस डिफेंस का युद्धक पोत की मरम्मत के लिए अमेरिकी नौसेना से समझौता
रिलायंस डिफेंस एंड इंजीनियरिंग ने अमेरिकी नौसेना के साथ उसके युद्धक पोतों की मरम्मत करने का एक समझौता किया है। कंपनी अमेरिका के सातवें बेड़े के पोतों की मरम्मत का कार्य करेगी जो भारत के नजदीकी क्षेत्र में चलता है।
अमेरिकी नौसेना के सातवें बेड़े के पास पश्चिती प्रशांत एवं हिंद महासागर की जिम्मेदारी है। हर समय इस बेड़े में 50-70 पोत या पनडुब्बियां, 140 विमान और लगभग 20,000 नौसैनिक होते हैं।
Reliance Defence signs warship repair pact with US Navy
Reliance Defence and Engineering announced an agreement with the American Navy for repair and alteration services for warships of the largest forward- deployed Seventh Fleet operating in the region.
The Seventh Fleets area of responsibility includes the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean and at any given time there are roughly 5070 ships and submarines, 140 aircraft and approximately 20,000 sailors under its command.
