Answer Key-

Q-(1) Sol-(B)

x ×5 x = 320

x2= 64

x= 8

Req. diff. = 402 - 82

= 48 × 32 = 1536

Q-(2) Sol-(A)

Total candidates = 1500 + 1100 = 2600

Total failed candidates = 2600 – 1450 =1150

Required percentage = 1150/2600×100=44.23%

Q-(3) Sol-(A)

Let Radheysyam’s salary be x .

x=18000

Mohan’s salary is = = Rs.15000

Q-(4) Sol-(B)

selling price of 10 apples =

Remaining apples = 10-1 = 9
So the remaining apples per kg cost =498/9 =Rs 55.33

Q-(5) Sol-(D)

Let cost price of each cow is Rs. x.

According to question,

x= Rs. 500

Q-(6) Sol-(C)

Difference between temperature on Monday and Thursday = 9o C

Temperature on Thursday = temperature on Monday + difference between temperature

740+90= Rs. 830

Q-(8) Sol-(B)

Let the share of elder brother be x and the share of younger brother be y

According to question

Q-(9) Sol-(D)

Let the ratio of initial quantity be x i.e 4x ,5x ,and 8x. Let a be quantity of extra pulses. So according to question,

So, 4x+5=5y

5x+10=7y

8x+a=9y

On solving (i) and (ii) we get x = 5 and y = 5

So a = 45 kg

Q-(10) Sol-(D)
