एक आदमी 4 किमी की दूरी धारा के विपरीत दिशा में 1 घंटे 20 मिनट में तय करता है और वापस अपने प्राम्भिक स्थान पर आने में मात्र 24 मिनट लगते है तो उसे शांत जल में 14.3 किमी की दुरी तय करने में कितना समय लगेगा ?

Q.4:- A person spends 65% of his total income . If his income is increased by 30% and his expenditure also increased by 20% . Find percentage change in his saving? (nearest to one decimal)

एक व्यक्ति अपनी कमाई का 65 प्रतिशत भाग खर्च करता है। यदि उसकी कमाई में 30 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हो तथा खर्च में 20 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हो तो बचत में प्रतिशत बदलाव ज्ञात कीजिये?(दशमलव के एक स्थान तक)

Q.(5) In a mixture of water and spirit water is 40%. When 25 liter water is added in the mixture percentage of water increased to 60%. Find the quantity of spirit in the mixture.

पानी और स्पिरिट के मिश्रण में पानी 40% है जब मिश्रण में 25 लीटर पानी मिलाया जाता है  तो मिश्रण में पानी का प्रतिशत बढ़कर 60%  हो जाता है। मिश्रण में स्पिरिट की मात्रा ज्ञात कीजिये।

 Q.6.  On a principal difference of SI and CI of two year is Rs. 240 whereas difference of SI and CI of three years is Rs 736. Find the rate of interest.

किसी मूलधन पर दो वर्ष का साधारण ब्याज तथा चक्रवृधि ब्याज का अन्तर 240 रुपये हैं जबकि तीन वर्ष के साधारण ब्याज तथा चक्रवृधि ब्याज का अन्तर 736 रुपये है। ब्याज दर ज्ञात कीजिये।

Q.(7) A employer decreases the number of his employees in the ratio 14 : 13 and increases their wages in the ratio 6 : 7. What is the percentage change in his total expenditures?

 Q.8. The ratio of the time taken by three cars to cover a certain distance is 4:3:5. Find the ratio of the speeds of these cars.

किसी निश्चित दूरी को तय करने में तीन कारों द्वारा लिए गए समय का अनुपात 3:4:5 है, इन कारों की चाल का अनुपात ज्ञात कीजिये।
