Answers:

1. Sol. (C)
x = 7 + ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19
ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19
ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19

ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19

2. Sol. (A)
ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19
Let ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19AGF = q, then ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19BGD = 90o – q
Similarly, ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19ECF = 90o – q, ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19AGF = 90o – q,
Similarly, ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19EFC = q, ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19DBG = q
Now, DECF and DDBG and DAGF are all similar.
According to the question,
ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19
x2 = 117 sq. unit

3. Sol. (B)
S.I. in three years = ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19= 2200
C.I. in three years = ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19= 2276.8

Required difference = 2276.8 – 2200 = Rs.76.8

4. Sol. (C)
ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19DBC = 2ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19ABD and ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19DCB = 2ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19ACD
ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19A = 120o
x + 2x + x + 2x + 120o = 180o
6x = 60o
x = 10o
Now in triangle DBC,
40o + 40o + ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19BDC = 180o
ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19BDC = 140o

5. Sol. (D)
sec2A + sec2B – sec2A.sec2B = sec2A + sec2 (90o – A) – sec2A.sec2 (90o – A)
= sec2A + cosec2A – sec2A. cosec2A

= 0

6. Sol. (C)
P = ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19= Rs.8920

7. Sol. (D)
X : Y = 2 : 3
X + Y = 60
2X + 3X = 60
5X = 60
X = 12
X = 2X = 24
Z = 72 – 60 = 12
X – Z = 24 – 12 = 12

7. Sol. (D)
X : Y = 2 : 3
X + Y = 60
2X + 3X = 60
5X = 60
X = 12
X = 2X = 24
Z = 72 – 60 = 12
X – Z = 24 – 12 = 12

8. Sol. (C)
M : W = 5 : 4) × 2 = 10 : 8
M : W = 10 : 9) × 1 = 10 : 9
New quantity of water = ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19= 18 litres

9. Sol. (B)
Let the fare between two stations is Rs. 3x and Rs. x respectively.
and number of passengers travelling by first and second class be y and 30y respectively.
According to the question,
3xy + 30xy = 54450
33 xy = 54450
30xy = 49500

10. Sol. (A)
Ratio between equivalent capitals of P, Q and R = 45: 70: 90 = 9: 14: 18
Q'sshare in the profit = ssc-maths-quiz-02-11-19 = Rs.56000
