1- Chandi Prasad Bhatt to get Indira Gandhi award for national integration
The 31st Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration for the years 2017 and 2018 will be awarded to the pioneer of the Chipko Movement Chandi Prasad Bhatt for his services in promoting and preserving the national integration.
He is a Ramon Magsaysay award recipient for the year 1982. He was also awarded Padma Shri in 1986, the Padma Bhushan in 2005 and the Gandhi Peace prize in 2013.
The award consists of a citation and cash of Rs 10 lakh to be given to the awardee by Congress president Sonia Gandhi on October 31, the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
राष्ट्रीय एकीकरण के लिए चंडी प्रसाद भट्ट को मिलेगा इंदिरा गांधी पुरस्कार
प्रसिद्ध पर्यावरणविद चंडी प्रसाद भट्ट को देश में राष्ट्रीय एकता के कार्यों के लिए भट्ट को 2017 और 2018 के 31वां इंदिरा गांधी पुरस्कार प्रदान किया जाएगा। कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष सोनिया गांधी 31 अक्तूबर को पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी की पुण्यतिथि पर यह पुरस्कार प्रदान करेंगी। इसके तहत 10 लाख रुपये नकद और प्रशस्ति पत्र प्रदान किया जाएगा।
पहले यह सम्मान पूर्व पीएम राजीव गांधी (मरणोपरांत), पूर्व राष्ट्रपति एपीजे अब्दुल कलाम और प्रख्यात वैज्ञानिक सतीश धवन सहित कई हस्तियों को दिया जा चुका है। ‘चिपको आंदोलन’ से जुड़े रहे 85 वर्षीय गांधीवादी पर्यावरणविद भट्ट को इससे पहले पद्म भूषण, रमन मैग्सेसे और गांधी शांति पुरस्कार जैसे प्रतिष्ठित सम्मान मिल चुके हैं।
वह वर्ष 1982 के लिए रेमन मैग्सेसे पुरस्कार प्राप्तकर्ता हैं। उन्हें 1986 में पद्म श्री, 2005 में पद्म भूषण और 2013 में गांधी शांति पुरस्कार से भी सम्मानित किया गया था।
2- Life Insurance Council plan to launch life insurance industry’s first joint mass media campaign ‘Sabse Pehle Life Insurance’
Life Insurance Council has decided to launch the Indian life insurance industry’s first joint mass media campaign with the slogan ‘Sabse Pehle Life Insurance’.
The slogan will encourage Indian households to opt for adequate life insurance cover as the fundamental necessity in their lives.
The life insurance council’s campaign represents joint efforts of all 24 Indian life insurance companies who are working towards creating a common narrative aimed at increasing life insurance awareness in the country.

लाइफ इंश्योरेंस काउंसिल ने 'सबसे पहले लाइफ इंश्योरेंस’ के नारे के साथ भारतीय जीवन बीमा उद्योग का पहला संयुक्त मास मीडिया अभियान शुरू करने का फैसला किया है।
यह नारा भारतीय परिवारों को उनके जीवन में मूलभूत आवश्यकता के रूप में पर्याप्त जीवन बीमा कवर का चयन करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करेगा।
जीवन बीमा परिषद का अभियान उन सभी 24 भारतीय जीवन बीमा कंपनियों के संयुक्त प्रयासों का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है, जो देश में जीवन बीमा जागरूकता बढ़ाने की दिशा में काम कर रहे हैं।
3- K Satish Reddy appointed Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance president
K Satish Reddy has been appointed as President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA) for 2019-2021.
Rajesh Jain, Managing Director of Panacea Biotec Limited, will continue as the Vice President.
K Satish Reddy, the past president of IPA (2013-2015), played a major role in shaping policies concerning the pharmaceutical sector and the economy.

सतीश रेड्डी को 2019-2021 के लिए भारतीय फार्मास्युटिकल एलायंस (आईपीए) के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है।
जबकि पैनसिया बायोटेक लिमिटेड के प्रबंध निदेशक राजेश जैन उपाध्यक्ष के रूप में जारी रहेंगे।

4- ‘Dilli Series’ Sea Power Seminar - 2019 to be conducted at Indian Naval Academy
Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala will host the prestigious Dilli Series Sea Power Seminar on 17th and 18th of October 2019. The theme for this year’s seminar is “Role of Sea Power in Shaping of Nations”.
The seminar will be covered under three sub-themes-
1) Sea Power Vs Land Power – A Historical Perspective,
2) Sea Power and Geo Economics and
3) Centrality of Sea Power to Global Politics.
