1- Mary Kom recommended for Padma Vibhushan, PV Sindhu for Padma Bhushan
Mary Kom has been recommended for the Padma Vibhushan Award, India’s second-highest civilian award. PV Sindhu’s name has been suggested for the Padma Bhushan Award. The Sports Ministry has also named seven other female athletes for the Padma awards, making the awards women-dominated this time.

मैरी कॉम को भारत के दूसरे सबसे बड़े नागरिक पुरस्कार पद्म विभूषण पुरस्कार के लिए सिफारिश की गई है। पीवी सिंधु का नाम पद्म भूषण पुरस्कार के लिए सुझाया गया है। खेल मंत्रालय ने पद्म पुरस्कारों के लिए सात अन्य महिला एथलीटों को भी नामित किया है, जिन्होंने इस बार पुरस्कारों को महिलाओं के वर्चस्व वाला बना दिया है।
2- Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurates the renamed Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium
Feroz Shah Kotla Cricket Stadium has been renamed after former union minister and president of the Delhi & District Cricket Association late Arun Jaitley. The renaming of the stadium was done to honour the leader who served as DDCA president from 1999 to 2013. Union home minister Amit Shah was the chief guest on the occasion and the event was also attended by Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju.
The iconic Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in the national capital is renamed after former Union Minister late Arun Jaitley.
DDCA also unveiled a new pavilion stand at the Feroz Shah Kotla after skipper Virat Kohli, who recently became the most successful India captain in Test cricket.

पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री और दिल्ली एंड डिस्ट्रिक्ट क्रिकेट एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष अरुण जेटली के नाम पर फिरोज शाह कोटला क्रिकेट स्टेडियम का नाम बदल दिया गया है। स्टेडियम का नाम बदलने का काम 1999 से 2013 तक डीडीसीए अध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य करने वाले नेता अरुण जेटली के सम्मान में किया गया। इस अवसर पर केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह मुख्य अतिथि थे और इस कार्यक्रम में खेल मंत्री किरेन रिजिजू भी शामिल थे।
राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में प्रतिष्ठित फ़िरोज़ शाह कोटला स्टेडियम का नाम बदलकर पूर्व केंद्रीय मंत्री स्वर्गीय अरुण जेटली के नाम पर रखा गया है।
डीडीसीए ने फिरोज शाह कोटला में कप्तान विराट कोहली के बाद नए पवेलियन स्टैंड का भी अनावरण किया, जो हाल ही में टेस्ट क्रिकेट में भारत के सबसे सफल कप्तान बने।
3- Maharashtra CM approves Rs 1680 cr water supply scheme for Aurangabad
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has approved a 1680.50 crore rupees water supply scheme for Aurangabad in Marathwada region. Around 16 lakh people of Aurangabad will be benefitted by the scheme which envisages supply of water directly from the Jayakwadi dam. Marathwada comprising eight districts has traditionally been a low-rainfall area. The region has been reeling under drought conditions for the last four years.

महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री देवेंद्र फड़नवीस ने मराठवाड़ा क्षेत्र में औरंगाबाद के लिए 1680.50 करोड़ रुपये की जलापूर्ति योजना को मंजूरी दी है। औरंगाबाद के लगभग 16 लाख लोग इस योजना से लाभान्वित होंगे जो सीधे जयकवाड़ी बांध से पानी की आपूर्ति की परिकल्पना करते हैं। आठ जिलों में शामिल मराठवाड़ा पारंपरिक रूप से कम वर्षा वाला क्षेत्र रहा है। यह क्षेत्र पिछले चार वर्षों से सूखे की स्थिति में है।
4- ONGC to invest more than Rs 13,000 cr to raise its oil & gas exploration in Assam
The ONGC will invest more than 13,000 crore rupees to raise its oil and gas exploration in Assam. This was announced by ONGC in Guwahati yesterday evening. The company will be drilling more than 220 oil and gas wells throughout the state in next five years. ONGC has already signed an MoU with Assam government to enhance its operation in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for reducing oil and gas import by 10 percent by 2022.

ओएनजीसी असम में अपने तेल और गैस उत्खनन को बढ़ाने के लिए 13,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक का निवेश करेगी। इसकी घोषणा गुवाहाटी में ओएनजीसी ने की। कंपनी अगले पांच वर्षों में पूरे राज्य में 220 से अधिक तेल और गैस कुओं की ड्रिलिंग करेगी। ओएनजीसी ने पहले ही असम सरकार के साथ 2022 तक 10 प्रतिशत तेल और गैस आयात को कम करने के लिए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के आह्वान के अनुरूप अपने परिचालन को बढ़ाने के लिए एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
5- Odd-even rule to be back in Delhi from November 4-15
Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has announced that odd-even rule for vehicles will be implemented again in the National Capital from November 4-15 in order to curb pollution. Under the rule, vehicles with registration plates ending in odd and even numbers are allowed to ply on alternate days, respectively.

दिल्ली के सीएम अरविंद केजरीवाल ने घोषणा की है कि प्रदूषण को रोकने के लिए 4-15 नवंबर से राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में फिर से वाहनों के लिए विषम नियम लागू किया जाएगा। नियम के तहत, विषम और समान पंजीकरण संख्या वाले वाहन वैकल्पिक दिनों पर चलने की अनुमति होगी।
