2- Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Jaipal Reddy has passed away in Hyderabad. He was 77. Reddy was Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Urban Development, Petroleum and Natural Gas and Science and Technology in different governments. He was 7-time MP and four-term MLA.

The Olympic bronze medallist Mary defeated Australian April Franks in finals and Simranjit Kaur defeated Indonesia's Asian Games bronze medallist Hasanah Huswatun in the final.With this, Indian boxers finished their campaign in the Tournament with nine medals. The 9 medals comprised seven gold and two silver.

9- Red Bull's driver Max Verstappen clinched the German Grand Prix at Hockenheim. Verstappen now has the second title of the Formula One season. Four-time former champion Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel claimed the second spot and Russian Daniil Kvyat achieved the third spot for Toro Rosso followed by Canadian Lance Stroll in fourth for Racing Point.

10- The third edition of Khelo India Youth Games will be held in Guwahati next year.
Games to be held from 18th January 2020, will see the participation of more than 10,000 athletes and officials. It will be conducted in partnership with Indian Olympic Association, School Games Federation of India & Assam as host State. The inaugural edition was held in New Delhi, while Pune hosted the second one this year.

11- Indian boxers finished their campaign at the Thailand Open in Bangkok with a rich haul of eight medals, comprising a gold, four silver and three bronze. World's best boxers from 37 countries had participated in the tournament.
