1- Shooter Sarabjot Singh won India's ninth gold in ISSF Junior World Cup
In Shooting, extending India's domination at the ISSF Junior World Cup, Sarabjot Singh shot a 239.6 to bag the men's 10 metres air pistol gold. India remains on top of the medal standings with nine gold, nine silver and four bronze for a total of 22 medals.

2- Sachin Tendulkar inducted into ICC Hall of Fame
Indian batting icon Sachin Tendulkar has been inducted into the International Cricket Council's Hall of Fame alongside South African pace legend Allan Donald. Tendulkar, who retired in November 2013, scored 15,921 runs in Tests and 18,426 in ODIs, both of which remain records. He is the sixth Indian to be inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame after Bhishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, Anil Kumble, Rahul Dravid.

भारतीय बल्लेबाजी आइकन सचिन तेंदुलकर को दक्षिण अफ्रीका के तेज गेंदबाज एलन डोनाल्ड के साथ अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद के 'हॉल ऑफ फेम' में शामिल किया गया है। नवंबर 2013 में संन्यास ले चुके तेंदुलकर ने टेस्ट में 15,921 और वनडे में 18,426 रन बनाकर रिकॉर्ड कायम किया है। वह भूषण सिंह बेदी, कपिल देव, सुनील गावस्कर, अनिल कुंबले, राहुल द्रविड़ के बाद आईसीसी क्रिकेट हॉल ऑफ फेम में शामिल होने वाले छठे भारतीय हैं।
3- ICC suspends Zimbabwe Cricket with immediate effect
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended Zimbabwe Cricket with immediate effect over violation of global body's constitution which doesn't allow any government intervention. The current elected members of Zimbabwe Board were suspended by government agency Sports and Recreation Committee (SRC) which was a violation of relevant articles of ICC Constitution. Zimbabwe Cricket will no longer receive funding from the ICC and its representative teams are now ineligible from competing in any ICC events.

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद, ICC ने जिम्बाब्वे क्रिकेट को वैश्विक निकाय के संविधान के उल्लंघन पर तत्काल प्रभाव से निलंबित कर दिया है जो किसी भी सरकारी हस्तक्षेप की अनुमति नहीं देता है। जिम्बाब्वे बोर्ड के वर्तमान निर्वाचित सदस्यों को सरकारी एजेंसी स्पोर्ट्स एंड रिक्रिएशन कमेटी (एसआरसी) द्वारा निलंबित कर दिया गया था जो आईसीआईसीआई संविधान के प्रासंगिक लेखों का उल्लंघन था। जिम्बाब्वे क्रिकेट को अब आईसीसी से कोई धन प्राप्त नहीं होगा और इसके प्रतिनिधि टीमें अब किसी भी आईसीसी स्पर्धा में भाग नहीं ले पाएंगी ।

India and the US discussed the broad contours of bilateral trade and commercial ties and agreed to continue their discussions for achieving mutually beneficial outcomes aimed at further growing the economic relationship and addressing mutual trade concerns.

5- Two new districts to be formed in Tamil Nadu; taking total to 35
In Tamil Nadu, two new districts are going to be formed. This will take the total number of districts in the State to 35. Chengalpattu will be hived off from Kanchipuram to become a district headquarter; Tenkasi will be split from Tirunelveli to become a new district.

तमिलनाडु में बनेंगे दो नए जिले; जिलों की कुल संख्या 35
तमिलनाडु में दो नए जिले बनने जा रहे हैं। इन दो नए जिलों के साथ राज्य में कुल जिलों की संख्या को 35 हो जाएगी। चेंगलपट्टू को जिला मुख्यालय बनने के लिए कांचीपुरम से अलग किया जायेगा, तेनकाशी को तिरुनेलवेली से विभाजित कर नया जिला बनाया जाएगा।
