1. India’s population grew at 1.2 % average annual rate between 2010 and 2019: UN report
According to a report by the United Nations Population Fund, India’s population grew at an average annual rate of 1.2 per cent between 2010 and 2019 to 1.36 billion, more than double the annual growth rate of China.
India’s population in 2019 stood at 1.36 billion, growing from 942.2 million in 1994 and 541.5 million in 1969.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र जनसंख्या कोष की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 2010 से 2019 के बीच भारत की जनसंख्या 1.2% की औसत वार्षिक दर से बढ़कर 1.36 अरब हो गई है, जो चीन की वार्षिक वृद्धि दर के मुकाबले दोगुनी से ज्यादा है।
2019 में भारत की जनसंख्या 1.36 अरब पहुंच गयी है, जो 1994 में 94.22 करोड़ और 1969 में 54.15 करोड़ थी।
2. Tata Trusts, Microsoft join hands to support handloom weaving community
Tata Trusts and Microsoft India inked a pact to jointly rejuvenate handloom clusters in the eastern and north-eastern parts of the country.
Both the entities have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard, Tata Trusts and Microsoft India said in a joint statement.
As part of the collaboration, Tata Trusts and Microsoft will leverage each other's strengths to provide business and communication skills, design education and digital literacy to handloom weavers so that they may build a sustainable future.

करार के तहत टाटा ट्रस्ट्स और माइक्रोसॉफ्ट एक-दूसरे की ताकत का इस्तेमाल कर हथकरघा बुनकरों को कारोबार एवं संपर्क कौशल, डिजाइन शिक्षा और डिजिटल साक्षरता उपलब्ध कराएंगी जिससे वे अपने भविष्य को बेहतर कर सकें।

Veteran Communist Party of India (CPI) leader and former parliamentarian Drupad Borgohain died. He was 78.
