Eleider Alvarez knocked out Sergey Kovalev in the seventh round with a stunning upset victory to capture the World Boxing Organization light heavyweight title.

4. Noted film producer Bhakthavatsala dies
Noted film producer and former chairman of Indian Film Chamber of Commerce M Bhakthavatsala died. He was 84.
Bhakthavatsala was an officer in Hindustan Machine Tools (HMT) and later turned to films through distribution and managing theatres.
He shot to fame by producing Kannada films like 'Sandhyaraga' and 'Samskara' among others.
Bhakthavatsala served as president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce for seven years and was the only Kannadiga to chair the Indian Film Chamber of Commerce.
फिल्म निर्माता भक्तवत्सला का निधन
जाने माने फिल्म निर्माता और इंडियन फिल्म चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स के पूर्व अध्यक्ष एम भक्तवत्सला का निधन हो गया। वह 84 साल के थे।
वह समीक्षकों द्वारा सराही गयी ‘संध्याराग’ और ‘कन्नेश्वर राम’ जैसी फिल्मों के निर्माण के लिए जाने जाते थे।
भक्तवत्सला पहले हिन्दुस्तान मशीन टूल्स (एचएमटी) में एक अधिकारी थे और बाद में वह वितरण और सिनेमा घरों के प्रबंधक के रूप में फिल्मों की दुनिया में आए।
उन्होंने ‘कन्नेश्वर राम’, ‘संध्याराग’, ‘संस्कारा’ सहित कन्नड़ फिल्मों और ‘संपूर्ण रामायण’ का निर्माण किया। उनकी फिल्मों में जाने माने अभिनेता राजकुमार ने भी काम किया था।
5. Escorts group chairman Rajan Nanda passes away
Escorts group Chairman Rajan Nanda passed away. He was 76.
Nanda joined Escorts in 1965 at the age of 23, and in 1994, he took over as the Chairman of Escorts Group, when his father and the founder Chairman, H P Nanda, stepped down after a 50 year-long innings.
Rajan Nanda was an active member of several apex trade and industry bodies. As a member of the CII National Council, he had served as Chairman of its Agriculture Committee.
Escorts is a leading manufacturer of tractors and construction equipment in the country. It also caters to railways with its various products.

एस्कॉर्ट्स समूह के चेयरमैन राजन नंदा का निधन हो गया। वह 76 वर्ष के थे।
नंदा ने 1965 में 23 वर्ष की उम्र में एस्कॉर्ट्स से जुड़े थे तथा 1994 में अपने पिता और समूह के संस्थापक चेयरमैन एच पी नंदा की जगह चेयरमैन बने।
राजन नंदा कई शीर्ष व्यापार एवं उद्योग संघों में सक्रिय भूमिका निभाई है। वह उद्योग मंडल सीआईआई की राष्ट्रीय परिषद के सदस्य थे और उसकी कृषि संबंधी समिति के चेयरमैन भी थे।
एस्कॉर्ट्स देश में ट्रैक्टर और निर्माण कार्य में उपयोग होने वाले उपकरण एवं मशीनें बनाने वाली अग्रणी कंपनी है।
6. Jean Henry Ceant nominated as Haiti's next PM
Haitian President Jovenel Moise has nominated Jean Henry Ceant as the next prime minister of the country.
Moise unveiled his choice following two days of intense negotiations with leaders of both houses of Parliament, three weeks after riots against rising fuel prices wreaked havoc in Port-au-Prince.
A one-time notary by profession and former presidential candidate in 2016, Ceant leads a political organization called Renmen Ayiti.
If he wins approval from Parliament, he will be Moise's second prime minister.
हैती के अगले प्रधानमंत्री के तौर पर जीन हेनरी सिएंट नामित
हैती के राष्ट्रपति जोवेनेल मोइसे ने जीन हेनरी सिएंट को देश के अगले प्रधानमंत्री के रूप में नामित किया।
मोइसे ने संसद के दोनों सदनों के नेताओं के साथ दो दिन तक सघन विचार-विमर्श के बाद नये प्रधानमंत्री के नाम का खुलासा किया है। यह घोषणा तेल की दामों में बढ़ोतरी के खिलाफ पोर्ट-ओ-प्रिंस में हुये दंगों के तीन सप्ताह बाद की गई है।
2016 में राष्ट्रपति पद के प्रत्याशी रहे सिएंट के राजनीतिक दल का नाम रेनमेन अयिति है।
अगर उनके नाम को संसद से मंजूरी मिल जाती है तो वह मोइसे के समय के दूसरे प्रधानमंत्री होंगे।
