ANSWERS

Q1. (2)

Q2. (3) × 1 + 2, × 2 – 4, × 3 + 6, × 4 – 8, × 5 – 10

Q3. (4) + 17 × 1, - 21 × 2, + 25 × 3, - 29 × 4, 33 × 5

Q4. (3) C = x, B = 4x
2(A's capital) = 3(B's capital) = 3 × 4x
A's capital = (3 × 4x/2) = 6x
Ratio = 6: 4: 1
B's share = 4/ 11 × 112400

Q5. Required ratio = 3: 5

Q6. (2) 18%

Q7. (3) Amount invested in Scheme B = x
Amount invested in Scheme A = 5200 – x
According to question,
x × 10 × 4/100 = (5200 – x) × 21/100
on solving above we get
x = 1790
Scheme A = 5200 – 1790 = 3410

Q8. (1) P = 8 + 4 = 12
P + Q = 1/8
Q = 1/8 – 1/12 = (3 – 2)/24 = 1/24
Q = 24
Q alone = 24 – 8 = 16

Q9. (3) % of B in the original mixture = 1/5 × 100 = 20%
In final mixture = 3/5 × 100 = 60%
20 100
60
40 40
Total mixture = 10 + 10 = 20 liters
So, quantity = 20/ 5 × 4 = 16 liters

Q10. (2) Let length and breadth are 3x and 2x
(3x + 5) × 2x = 2600
On solving above, we get
x = 20
So, breadth = 40 m.
