The former Australian spin legend had led the team to the title in 2008.
Warne was the captain-cum-coach of the side which exceeded expectations by winning the trophy in 2008.The team will be playing the IPL this season after serving a two-year ban.The Australian led the Royals for three seasons from 2008 to 2011, during which he played 52 games and picked 56 wickets.

Maharashtra Government Announces New Electric Vehicle Policy.
The government of Maharashtra has unveiled its Electric Vehicle Policy (EV Policy) for the year 2018. The policy aims, to attract both buyers and manufacturers, with tax cuts and other benefits.The policy is announced before state’s first investment summit 'Magnetic Maharashtra: Convergence'.
Six key points in the policy:
1. The first one lakh EVs to be registered in the state will be eligible for a 15 percent subsidy from the government.
2. The first 250 charging stations in the state will get a 25 percent capital subsidy from the government, subject to a cap of Rs 10 lakh per station.
3. EVs will be exempt from road tax and registration fees.
4. All EV manufacturers will be allowed to set up charging infrastructure at existing petrol pumps, subject to safety clearance from a competent authority.
5. The electricity tariff for charging infrastructure will be on par with the rates for residential consumers.
The first phase of the EV policy will be implemented across six cities, namely Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Thane, Aurangabad, and Nashik. The policy aims to manufacture five lakh EVs in the state in the next five years.

महाराष्ट्र सरकार ने वर्ष 2018 के लिए अपनी इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन नीति (ईवी नीति) का अनावरण किया है।
नीति का उद्देश्य, कर कटौती और अन्य लाभों के साथ खरीदार और निर्माताओं दोनों को आकर्षित करना है।
यह नीति राज्य के पहले निवेश सम्मेलन 'चुंबकीय महाराष्ट्र: कन्वर्जेंस' से पहले घोषित की गई है।
पॉलिसी में छह प्रमुख बिंदु है:
1. राज्य में पंजीकृत होने वाले पहले एक लाख ईवीस सरकार से 15 प्रतिशत सब्सिडी के लिए पात्र होंगे।
2. राज्य के पहले 250 चार्जिंग स्टेशनों को सरकार से 25 प्रतिशत की पूंजीगत सब्सिडी मिल जाएगी, जो कि प्रति स्टेशन 10 लाख रुपये की सीमा के अधीन होगी।
3. ईवी को सड़क कर और पंजीकरण शुल्क से छूट दी जाएगी।
4. सभी ईवी निर्माताओं को सक्षम प्राधिकारी से सुरक्षा मंजूरी के अधीन मौजूदा पेट्रोल पंप पर चार्जिंग बुनियादी ढांचा स्थापित करने की अनुमति दी जाएगी।
5. बुनियादी ढांचा चार्ज करने के लिए बिजली टैरिफ, आवासीय उपभोक्ताओं के दरों के बराबर होगी।
ईवी नीति का पहला चरण छह शहरों, जैसे मुंबई, नागपुर, पुणे, ठाणे, औरंगाबाद और नासिक में लागू किया जाएगा। अगले 5 वर्षों में राज्य में पांच लाख ईवी का निर्माण करने का उद्देश्य है।

Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, is the richest Chief Minister in the country.
- He has a total assets that worth Rs 177 crore.
- The chief ministers of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu is at second place.
- He has assets that worth Rs 129 crore.
- The chief ministers of Punjab, Amarinder Singh is at third place.
- He has asset worth Rs 48 crore.
- An analysis of the self sworn affidavits filed by chief ministers of 29 states and two Union Territories throws up interesting facts.
- Mamata Banerjee,the Cheif Minister of the West Bengal, has declared assets worth Rs 30 lakh only, with no immovable assets.
- Devendra Fadnavis, the Cheif Minister of Maharshtra, has the highest number of cases registered against him: (22+) .
- Pinarayi Vijayan, the Cheif Minister of Kerala, has declared 11 criminal cases against himself in the affidavit is second. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is third with 10 criminal cases registered against his name.
- The analysis, which was conducted by transparency body Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR), found that of the 31 CMs, 20 have clean records.
- While 11, or 35%, have declared criminal cases. Eight (26%) have serious criminal cases.
- The report says the average asset per CM is just over Rs 16 crore, with 25 of the 31 CMs being crorepatis.
- The three CMs with the lowest assests are Manik Sarkar of CPI(M) with Rs 26 lakh+ ,

- Education wise, the CMs have a consistent record, with 39% being graduates and another 32% being professionals.
- A significant 16% are post graduates and 10% have passed high school.

Gadkari releases India's first 'Highway Capacity Manual'
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari today released country's first ever Highway Capacity Manual (HCM) which will guide road engineers and policymakers about road expansion.
The manual known as 'Indo-HCM' has been developed by CSIR-CRRI on the basis of an extensive, country-wide study of the traffic characteristics on different categories of roads like single lane, two-lane, multi-lane urban roads, interurban highways and expressways and the associated intersections on these roads, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in a statement.
The road transport and shipping minister "released India's first ever Highway Capacity Manual. The manual will guide Road Engineers and Policy Makers about Road Expansion".
The study involved seven academic institutions including IIT-Roorkee, Mumbai and Guwahati, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Indian Institute of Engineering and Science and Technology, Shibpur, Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Institute of Technology, Surat and Anna University, Chennai.
गडकरी ने देश की पहली ‘राजमार्ग क्षमता नियमावली’ पेश की
केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने देश की पहली ‘राजमार्ग क्षमता नियमावली’ (एचसीएम) पेश की। यह सड़क अभियंताओं और नीति निर्माताओं को सड़क विस्तार में मदद करेगी।
इस नियमावली को ‘इंडो-एचसीएम’ के तौर पर जाना जाता है। इसे वैज्ञानिक तथा औद्योगिक अनुसंधान परिषद के तहत आने वाले केंद्रीय सड़क अनुसंधान संस्थान (सीएसआईआर-सीआरआरआई) ने तैयार किया है।
इसे तैयार करने के लिए संस्थान ने देशभर में विभिन्न प्रकार की सड़कों पर यातायात के दबाव का गहन अध्ययन किया है। इसमें सिंगल लेन, डबल लेन, शहरी सड़कों की मल्टी लेन के साथ अंतर-शहरी राजमार्ग और एक्सप्रेसवे के साथ इनसे जुड़ने वाली सहयोगी सड़कों इत्यादि पर यातायात के दबाव का अध्ययन किया गया है।
इस अध्ययन में सीआरआरआई ने सात शैक्षणिक संस्थानों की भी मदद ली। इनमें आईआईटी-रुड़की, मुंबई और गुवाहाटी, योजना एवं वास्तुकला विद्यालय-नयी दिल्ली, भारतीय अभियांत्रिकी विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान-शिवपुर, सरदार वल्लभ भाई पटेल राष्ट्रीय तकनीक संस्थान सूरत और अन्ना विश्वविद्यालय चेन्नई शामिल हैं।
