Veteran Indian-origin South African freedom fighter Laloo Chiba died. He was 87.
The Gujarati-origin stalwart was a former platoon commander in the military wing of the African National Congress (ANC) and was sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment on the Robben Island.

गुजराती मूल के चिबा अफ्रीकी राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस (एएनसी) की सैन्य शाखा में पलटन कमांडर थे और उनको रॉबिन आईलैंड में 18 साल कैद की सजा सुनाई गई थी।
India has joined the Wassenaar Arrangement after completing the internal procedures and the membership will facilitate high-technology tie-ups for country's defence and space programmes.
India has become the arrangement's 42nd participating State.
