"Dangal" was unanimously chosen the Best Asian Film at the seventh Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards.
Veteran actor Shabana Azmi served as one of the jury members on the panel, led by Hollywood star Russell Crowe, for this year's inaugural category.
The AACTA Awards ceremony took place in Sydney.

सातवें आस्ट्रेलियाई एकेडमी ऑफ सिनेमा एंड टेलीविजन आर्ट्स (एएसीटीए) पुरस्कार समारोह में ‘दंगल’ को सर्वसम्मति से सर्वश्रेष्ठ एशियाई फिल्म का पुरस्कार दिया गया।
हॉलीवुड अभिनेता रसेल क्रो की अगुवाई वाले पैनल में जूरी सदस्यों में मशहूर अभिनेत्री शबाना आजमी भी शामिल थीं।
एएसीटीए पुरस्कार समारोह का आयोजन सिडनी में किया गया।
Gurdeep Singh created three new senior national records in +105kg weight category in the just-concluded IWF World Weightlifting Championships in USA.
Singh finished 13th overall with a total lift of 388kg (172 + 216) but created national records in snatch, clean and jerk, and the total lift.
गुरदीप सिंह ने अमेरिका में हाल में समाप्त हुई आईडब्ल्यूएफ विश्व भारोत्तोलन चैम्पियनशिप में 105 किग्रा वजन से अधिक वर्ग में तीन नये सीनियर राष्ट्रीय रिकार्ड बनाये।
सिंह ने कुल 388 किग्रा (172 और 216) का कुल वजन उठाया जिससे वह ओवरआल 13वें स्थान पर रहे जबकि उन्होंने स्नैच, क्लीन एवं जर्क और कुल वजन वर्ग में राष्ट्रीय रिकार्ड बना दिया।
