Girija Devi to get posthumous Lifetime Achievement award
Eminent classical singer late Girija Devi will be honoured with the prestigious Sumitra
Charat Ram Award for Lifetime Achievement on November 17.
The award will be presented by Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State (Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs) to the thumri maestros daughter, Sudha Datta, at Kamani Auditorium.

प्रख्यात शास्त्रीय गायिका दिवंगत गिरिजा देवी को संगीत में उनके महती योगदान के लिये मरणोपरांत प्रतिष्ठित सुमित्रा चरत राम पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जायेगा।
यह पुरस्कार 17 नवंबर को कमानी सभागार में आवास एवं शहरी मामलों के मंत्रालय में राज्य मंत्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी इस प्रसिद्ध ठुमरी गायिका की पुत्री सुधा दत्ता को प्रदान करेंगे।
