Q. 1- The average age of a group of 23 persons increases by 4 months, when a person of 20 years is replaced by a new person. The age of the new person is -

Sol. - Increase in age = (23 × 4) months
= 92 months
Age of new person = (20 × 12 + 92) months 
= 27 years 8 months.

Q. 2- Akshay, Aditya and Anil can complete a certain piece of work in 10 days, 15 days and 20 days respectively. If only one of them is allowed to work for a day in given order, in how many days the work would be completed?

Let the length of the platform be x meters 
Then, Quantitative Aptitude Questions For IBPS Clerk Prelims : 15 -11-17
3 (x + 250) = 50 × 39
3x + 750 = 1950
3x = 1200
x = 400 meters.

एक दुकानदार ने 25 मोबाइल फोन को 1500 रू. प्रति फोन की दर से खरीदा। उसने पैकिंग एवं भाड़े पर 2500 रू. खर्च किये। तत्पश्चात उसने उन फोन को बेचने हेतु 2000 रू. प्रतिफोन का अंकित मूल्य अंकित किया। इस अंकित मूल्य पर उसने 5% छूट देने का निश्चय किया तो उसे इस व्यापार में कितने प्रतिशत का लाभ हुआ ?

Sol. - Total cost of 25 mobile sets = 15000 × 25 + 2500
= Rs.40, 000.

S.P. 1 mobile = 95% of Rs.2000

Sol. - Let the salaries of A and B be 13x and 7x
According to the question
125% of 13x = 16250.

एक व्यक्ति ने 600 रू. के कुछ ट्यूब खरीदे। अगर ट्यूब 4 रू. सस्ता होता है तो उसी राशि में 25 ट्यूब अधिक खरीदे जा सकते थे। खरीदे गये ट्यूब की संख्या ज्ञात कीजिये।

According to the question,
