1. The National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom) named Debjani Ghosh as its President-Designate, who will succeed R Chandrashekhar after completion of his tenure in March next year. Ghosh, former managing director of Intel South Asia, will be the first woman President of Nasscom.
साफ्टवेयर व सेवा कंपनियों के राष्ट्रीय संगठन नासकाम ने देबजानी घोष को अपना आगामी अध्यक्ष बनाने की घोषणा की। घोष इस पद पर आर चंद्रशेखर की जगह लेंगी जिनका कार्यकाल अगले वर्ष मार्च में पूरा हो रहा है। इंटेल साउथ एशिया की पूर्व प्रबंध निदेशक घोष नासकाम की पहली महिला अध्यक्ष होंगी।
2. The Union Cabinet approved an MoU between India and the Philippines in agriculture and related fields. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would improve bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and would be mutually beneficial to both countries.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने फिलीपींस के साथ कृषि क्षेत्र में सहयोग के करार पर हस्ताक्षर करने के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी प्रदान की। यह सहमति पत्र कृषि के क्षेत्र में द्विपक्षीय सहयोग की स्थति में सुधार लायेगा और दोनों देशों के लिए परस्पर लाभकारी होगा।
3. The Union Cabinet approved creation of National Testing Agency (NTA) as an autonomous and self-sustained premier testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for higher educational institutions. It will be society registered under Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने उच्च शिक्षण संस्थाओं के लिये प्रवेश परीक्षा आयोजित करने के लिये राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा एजेंसी (एनटीए) के गठन को मंजूरी प्रदान की। राष्ट्रीय परीक्षा एजेंसी (नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी) का गठन भारतीय सोसाइटी पंजीकरण अधिनियम 1860 के तहत किया जायेगा ।
4. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved 'Sudakhya' scheme in an attempt to encourage girl students to join technical education. Under this scheme, Girl students who have cleared class X examination, are eligible to get admission into the technical institutes such as ITI.
ओड़िशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक ने लड़कियों को तकनीकी शिक्षा लेने को प्रोत्साहित करने के प्रयास के तहत 'सुदक्ष' योजना को मंजूरी दी। इस योजना के तहत 10वीं की परीक्षा पास कर चुकी छात्राएं आईटीआई जैसे तकनीकी संस्थानों में प्रवेश लेने के लिए पात्र हैं।
5. Senior journalist Virendra Sanghi died. He was 66.
वरिष्ठ पत्रकार वीरेंद्र सांघी का निधन हो गया। वह 66 वर्ष के थे ।
6. India number one, Saurav Ghosal defeated Switzerland's Nicolas Mueller to win the title in the JSW-CCI International Squash Circuit.
भारत के शीर्ष स्क्वाश खिलाड़ी सौरव घोषाल ने स्विट्जरलैंड के निकोलस म्यूलर को हराकर सीसीआई अंतरराष्ट्रीय जेएसडब्ल्यू-सीसीआई इंटरनेश्नल स्क्वाश सर्किट का ख़िताब जीता।
7. UNESCO member states appointed former French Culture Minister Audrey Azoulay as the new Director-General of UNESCO. She will the 11th Director-General of UNESCO and the second woman to occupy the position.
यूनेस्को के सदस्य देशों ने फ्रांस की पूर्व संस्कृति मंत्री ऑद्रे आजोले को यूनेस्को का प्रमुख नियुक्त किया। वह यूनेस्को की 11वीं महानिदेशक और इस पद को संभालने वाली दूसरी महिला होंगी।
8. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval for the protocol amending the Agreement between India and Kyrgyz Republic for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने आय पर करों के संबंध में दोहरे कराधान के परिहार तथा राजकोषीय अपवंचन को रोकने के लिए भारत गणराज्य की सरकार तथा किरगिज़ गणराज्य की सरकार के बीच करार के संशोधनकारी प्रोटोकॉल को अपनी मंजूरी प्रदान कर दी है।
