1. AUSTERITY (NOUN): severity  

Synonyms: acerbity, gravity          

Antonyms: calmness, mildness

Example Sentence: 

The austerity of the politician was well renowned.

2. ENDEARMENT (NOUN): attachment  

Synonyms: affection, fondness         

Antonyms: dislike, hatred

Example Sentence:

The child’s endearment towards the puppy was immense.

3. EXUDE (VERB): emit

Synonyms: leak, discharge               

Antonyms: conceal, keep

Example Sentence:

There was a factory nearby which exuded a pungent smell.

4. EXTRADITE (VERB): send to another place by force

Synonyms: release, deliver         

Antonyms: hold, keep

Example Sentence:

He was extradited to India.


Synonyms: buoyant, cheerful                 

Antonyms: depressed, gloomy  

Example Sentence:

He is a sanguine person in every adverse situation.


Synonyms: cruel, harsh                 

Antonyms: gentle, kind

Example Sentence: 

It was a ferocious sight of doom.

7. BRACE (VERB): support

Synonyms: steel, secure                     

 Antonyms: loosen, weaken

Example Sentence: 

He braced his back against the wall.

8. ARTIFICE (NOUN): clever act

Synonyms: gimmick, ruse           

Antonyms: sincerity, simplicity  

Example Sentence:
