Classical singer Manik Bhide chosen for Bhimsen Joshi award
Noted vocalist Manik Bhide has been chosen for the prestigious Bharatratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi award for year 2017-18 for her contribution in the field of music.
The Maharashtra government award, the highest in the category of performing arts, consist of Rs five lakh in cash, a plaque and citation, the Culture Ministry said in an official communication.

जानीमानी शास्त्रीय गायिका माणिक भिडे को संगीत में उनके योगदान के लिए 2017-18 के प्रतिष्ठित भारत रत्न पंडित भीमसेन जोशी पुरस्कार के लिए चुना गया है।
महाराष्ट्र सरकार की ओर से दिए जाने वाले इस पुरस्कार में पांच लाख रुपये की नगद राशि और प्रशस्ति पत्र प्रदान किया जाता है।
