She was the first to show that anatomy of all animals' brains can change with experience and improve with enrichment.

मैकलॉघन 23 वर्ष की आयु में सेना में शामिल हुए थे और उन्होंने वर्ष 1969 में नुई योन हिल की लड़ाई में साथी घायल जवानों की जान बचाने के लिए अपनी जान जोखिम में डाली थी।
