Sindhu, junior hockey team win SJFI annual awards
The Sports Journalists Federation of India, at its annual general meeting, decided to confer the best Sportsperson of the Year Award on the ace shuttler and Rio Olympics silver medallist P V Sindhu.
The Best Team of the Year award was bagged by the Indian junior hockey squad which won the World Cup in Lucknow last December.

भारतीय खेल पत्रकार महासंघ (एसजेएफआई) ने अपनी वार्षिक आम बैठक में साल के सर्वश्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी का पुरस्कार दिग्गज बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ी और रियो ओलंपिक की रजत पदक विजेता पीवी सिंधू को देने का फैसला किया।
साल की सर्वश्रेष्ठ टीम का पुरस्कार भारतीय जूनियर हाकी टीम को देने का फैसला किया गया जिसने पिछले साल दिसंबर में लखनउ में विश्व कप जीता था।
Srikanth beats Olympic champ Chen Long to win maiden Australian Open title
Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth clinched his fourth Super Series title with an incredible straight-game triumph over reigning Olympic and world champion Chen Long in the Australian Open final here today.
The world no.11 Srikanth won 22-20 21-16 in a 45-minute clash against the world no.6 Chinese, who is also a two-time All England champion.
