Sahitya Akademi award for translation of Perumal Murugan’s Maadhorubaagan
The English translation of Perumal Murugan’s controversial Tamil novel Maadhorubaagan has won the Sahitya Akademi’s Translation Prize 2016.
Titled One Part Woman, the translation in English is done by Aniruddhan Vasudevan and the book is published by Penguin.
पेरुमल के विवादास्पद उपन्यास के अंग्रेजी अनुवाद को साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार
पेरुमल मुरुगन के विवादास्पद तमिल उपन्यास 'माधोरुबागन' के अंग्रेजी अनुवाद ने साल 2016 का साहित्य अकादमी अनुवाद पुरस्कार जीता है।
तमिल से अंग्रेजी में इसका अनुवाद अनिरुद्ध वासुदेवन ने किया है। इसका शीर्षक ‘वन पार्ट वोमेन’ है। इसे पेंगुइन ने प्रकाशित किया है।

China to host BRICS Film Festival in June
The 2017 BRICS Film Festival will be held in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province from June 23 to 27.
There will be 30 films from BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) screened during the festival, including an anthology by five directors from the aforementioned countries, "Where has the time gone".
चीन में जून में आयोजित होगा ब्रिक्स फिल्म महोत्सव
ब्रिक्स फिल्म महोत्सव 2017 दक्षिण पश्चिम चीन में शिचुआन प्रांत के चेंगदू में 23 से 27 जून तक आयोजित होगा।
महोत्सव में ब्रिक्स देशों :ब्राजील, रूस, भारत, चीन और दक्षिण अफ्रीका: से 30 फिल्मों को दिखाया जाएगा जिसमें इन देशों से पांच निर्देशकों द्वारा एक संकलन ‘‘वेयर हैज द टाइम गोन’’ भी शामिल हैं।

Aamir Khan, Kapil Dev to get Dinanath Mangeshkar Award
Actor Aamir Khan and cricket icon Kapil Dev will receive the 75th Master Dinanath Mangeshkar Awards, at a ceremony on April 24.
Khan will be honoured with the Vishesh Puraskar for Best Film "Dangal", while Dev for his outstanding contribution to Indian Cricket.
आमिर खान, कपिलदेव को मिलेगा दीनानाथ मंगेशकर पुरस्कार
अभिनेता आमिर खान और दिग्गज क्रिकेटर कपिलदेव को 24 अप्रैल को 75वें मास्टर दीनानाथ मंगेशकर पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।
खान को उनकी फिल्म ‘दंगल’ और देव को क्रिकेट के क्षेत्र में उनके उल्लेखनीय योगदान के लिए विशेष पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

Farrell announces ODI retirement
Australian bowler Rene Farrell has announced her retirement from One-Day International cricket, effective immediately.
Farrell, who made her international debut in 2007, played 44 ODIs, taking 42 wickets at an average of 30.78. She has also played three Tests and 54 T20Is.
फारेल ने वनडे क्रिकेट से संन्यास की घोषणा की
ऑस्ट्रेलिया की महिला क्रिकेट टीम की तेज गेंदबाज रेने फारेल ने वनडे मैचों से संन्यास की घोषणा की है।
फारेल ने 2007 में अपने देश के लिए पहला मैच खेला था। वह 44 वनडे मैचों में 42 विकेट ले चुकी हैं। फारेल ने अपने देश के लिए तीन टेस्ट और 54 टी-20 मैच भी खेले हैं।
