1. Rio Olympics silver medallist PV Sindhu defeated reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marin to win her maiden India Open Super Series title. 

रियो ओलंपिक की रजत पदकधारी पीवी सिंधू ने मौजूदा ओलंपिक चैंपियन कैरोलिना मारिन को हराकर अपना पहला इंडिया ओपन सुपर सीरीज खिताब जीता।

2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country's longest Chenani-Nashri Tunnel that links Kashmir Valley with Jammu by an all-weather route and reduces the distance by 31 kms. This tunnel is 9.2 km long. 

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने देश की सबसे लंबी चेनानी-नाशरी सुरंग का उद्घाटन किया जो हर मौसम में कश्मीर घाटी को जम्मू से जोड़े रखेगी और 31 किलोमीटर की दूरी कम करेगी। यह सुरंग 9.2 किलोमीटर लंबी है।

3. India and Malaysia signed seven agreements, including in the areas of civil aviation and human resources development. 

भारत और मलेशिया ने सात समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए जिनमें वायु सेवा समझौता और दोनों देशों की शैक्षणिक योग्यताओं की परस्पर मान्यता से जुड़ा समझौता शामिल हैं।

4. Noted author and filmmaker Ajey Jhankar passed away. He was 57. 

जानेमाने लेखक और फिल्म निर्माता अजय झनकार का निधन हो गया। वह 57 वर्ष के थे।

5. Viktor Axelsen of Denmark defeated Chinese Taipei's Tien Chen Chou to win the India Open Super Series badminton tournament men's singles title. 

डेनमार्क के विक्टर एक्सेलसेन ने चीनी ताइपे के टिएन चेन चोउ को पराजित कर इंडिया ओपन सुपर सीरीज बैडमिंटन टूर्नामेंट का पुरूष एकल खिताब जीता।

6. Mizoram became the 27th state to join UDAY scheme. 

मिजोरम उदय योजना से जुड़ने वाला 27वां राज्य बना।

7. Johanna Konta defeated Caroline Wozniacki to win the Miami Open -the biggest title won by a British woman in 40 years. 

जोहाना कोंटा ने कैरोलिन वोजनियाकी को हराकर मियामी ओपन का खिताब जीता जो किसी ब्रिटिश महिला टेनिस खिलाड़ी की पिछले 40 साल में सबसे बड़ी जीत है।

8. Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed sworn in as the Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court. 

न्यायमूर्ति बदर दुरेज अहमद ने जम्मू-कश्मीर के मुख्य न्यायाधीश के रूप में शपथ ली।

9. Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal to clinch his third Miami Open title. 

रोजर फेडरर ने राफेल नडाल को हराकर अपना तीसरा मियामी ओपन खिताब जीता।

10. Senior tennis player Leander Paes, along with his Canadian partner Adil Shamasdin, won the men's doubles title of Leon Challenger Tennis Tournament.

भारत के वरिष्ठ टेनिस खिलाड़ी लिएंडर पेस ने अपने कनाडा के जोड़ीदार आदिल शम्सदीन के साथ मिलकर लियोन चैलेंजर टेनिस टूर्नामेंट के पुरुष युगल का खिताब जीता।
