गायक टॉमी पेज का निधन 

अपने एकल गीत 'आई विल बी योर एव्रीथिंग' से लोकप्रियता के चरम पर पहुंचने वाले मशहूर गायक और गीतकार टॉमी पेज का निधन हो गया। वह 46 वर्ष के थे।

Singer-songwriter and music industry executive Tommy Page, best known for his single "Ill be your everything", has died. He was 46.

केन्‍द्र सरकार ने सेल के तीन प्रमुख इस्‍पात संयंत्रों की बिक्री को मंजूरी दी

सरकार ने सरकारी क्षेत्र की भारतीय इस्‍पात प्राधिकरण लिमिटेड - सेल की तीन विशेष इस्‍पात संयंत्रों की बिक्री की अनुमति दे दी है। इन संयंत्रों में पश्चिम बंगाल के दुर्गापुर स्थित एलॉय इस्‍पात संयंत्र, तमिलनाडु का सालेम इस्‍पात संयंत्र और कर्नाटक में भद्रावती स्थित विश्‍वेसवराया आयरन एंड इस्‍पात संयंत्र शामिल है। 

                                    

Centre approves selling of three major steel plants of SAIL

Government has approved outright sale of state-owned SAIL's three special steel plants. These are Alloy Steels Plant at Durgapur in West Bengal, Salem Steel Plant in Tamil Nadu and Visvesvaraya Iron and Steel Plant at Bhadravati in Karnataka.

चीन ने 2017 की जीडीपी वृद्धि का लक्ष्य 6.5 फीसदी तय किया

दुनिया की दूसरी सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था चीन ने 2017 के लिए सकल घरेलू उत्पाद वृद्धि का लक्ष्य करीब 6.5 फीसदी रखा। चीन ने पिछले वर्ष 6.5 से 7 फीसदी का लक्ष्य रखा था।

China sets 2017 GDP growth target at around 6.5 per cent

China set its GDP growth target at around 6.5 per cent for 2017, down from last year's 6.7 per cent, as the world's second largest economy braced for further slowdown of its growth.

सैम क्वेरी ने जीता मैक्सिको ओपन खिताब 

अमेरिका के गैरवरीयता प्राप्त सैम क्वेरी ने दूसरी वरीयता प्राप्त राफेल नडाल को -3, 7-6 (7/3) से हराकर एटीपी मैक्सिको ओपन टेनिस टूर्नामेंट का खिताब जीता। 

विश्व में 40वें नंबर के क्वेरी ने नडाल के खिलाफ पांच मुकाबलों में पहली जीत के दौरान 19 ऐस जमाये।

                                       

 Sam Querrey win Mexican Open title

Unseeded American Sam Querrey stunned second-seeded Rafael Nadal 6-3, 7-6 (7/3) to win the ATP Mexico Open and end the Spaniard's run of perfection in Acapulco.

Querrey, ranked 40th in the world, fired 19 aces en route to his first career victory over Nadal in five meetings.
