सरकार ने वित्त वर्ष 2015-16 के लिए सकल घरेलू उत्पाद :जीडीपी: की वृद्धि दर को संशोधित कर 7.9 प्रतिशत कर दिया है। पहले इसके 7.6 प्रतिशत रहने का अनुमान लगाया गया था। कृषि और औद्योगिक उत्पादन के ताजा आंकड़ों को शामिल कर वृद्धि दर का आंकड़ा संशोधित किया गया है।
CSO revises GDP growth for 2015-16 upwards to 7.9%
Government has marginally revised upwards GDP growth for 2015-16 to 7.9 per cent from the earlier estimate of 7.6 per cent after factoring in latest data on agriculture and industrial production.

The Economic Survey 2016-17 presented in the Parliament by the Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley states that such a sustenance is despite continuing global sluggishness.
