संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने पुर्तगाल के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री एंटोनियो गुटेरेस को अगला महासचिव नियुक्त किया। विश्व के शीर्ष राजनयिक के तौर पर उनका कार्यकाल 1 जनवरी 2017 से 31 दिसंबर 2022 तक होगा।
