1 Vyommitra, a semi-humanoid robot powered by artificial
intelligence (AI), will be part of the unmanned test flight of the Gaganyaan
space mission in December 2025. The robot will simulate human functions, such
as speech, environmental monitoring, and system control, inside the crew
module. Gaganyaan aims to send Indian astronauts (Vyomnauts) to a 400-km low
Earth orbit for a three-day mission.

2 India
and the FAO signed a technical cooperation program for the development of Blue
Ports. The Department of Fisheries aims to enhance fishing port infrastructure
using advanced technologies such as 5G, AI, and automation. Three pilot ports
have been approved under the Blue Ports framework in Diu, Puducherry, and
Gujarat with a total investment of ₹369.8 crore.

3. Mariam Fatima of Muzaffarpur became Bihar's first female FIDE
Master in chess. She achieved this title by surpassing the 2000 FIDE rating at
the Commonwealth Chess Championship. Mariam has won several major tournaments,
including the 12th National Women's Amateur Elo Rating Chess Championship and
the Bihar State Women's Chess Championship 2022.

4. The
"Anbu Karangal" scheme was launched by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on
September 16, 2025, to help orphaned children. Eligible children will receive
₹2,000 monthly financial assistance until they reach the age of 18 or complete
school. Laptops were distributed to 1,340 orphaned students to promote higher
education. A mobile app was launched for transparency and real-time monitoring
of beneficiaries.

5. PhonePe has received
final approval from the Reserve Bank of India to operate as an online payments
aggregator. This approval will help PhonePe expand financial inclusion by
providing accessible payment solutions to underserved businesses, especially
small and medium-sized enterprises. A payment aggregator is a company that
simplifies the process of accepting online payments for businesses (merchants)
by aggregating various payment methods such as credit cards, debit cards, UPI,
net banking, and digital wallets on a single platform.

6. The Hindi film "Homebound" has
been selected as India's official entry for the 2026 Academy Awards. Selection
committee chairman N Chandra announced this in Kolkata. The film will compete
in the Best International Feature category. A total of 24 films were
considered. "Homebound" is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. Karan Johar
and Adar Poonawalla have produced the film. "Homebound" stars Ishaan
Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles.

Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) is set to launch an AI-powered
large language model (LLM) to strengthen public audit systems. The initiative
aims to enhance efficiency, consistency, and risk identification in auditing
large and complex government transactions. As India's constitutional auditor,
the CAG plays a key role in ensuring financial accountability and transparency.

9. The US Federal Reserve
cut its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to a range of 4.00%-4.25%.

10. ICGS 'Adamya', the first fast patrol vessel
(FPV) of the 'Adamya' class, was launched at Paradip Port in Odisha. The ship

technology. With over 60 percent of its material being Indian, it is a strong
example of the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' campaign and will provide a new boost to
the country's maritime security.
