1. The State Energy Efficiency Index (SEEI) released by the Ministry of Electricity has emerged as the top protesters in 2024, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Tripura. Developed in collaboration with the Energy Economic Economy Alliance (AEE) by the Energy Efficiency Bureau (BEE), this index assesses the performance of 36 states and union territories in various fields including buildings, industries, transport, agriculture, municipal services and power distribution companies in FY 24.

2. The government has approved the
appointment of former Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Dr. Urjit Patel
as Executive Director in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a three
-year term. In 2016, he became the 24th Governor of RBI after Raghuram Rajan.
In 2018, he became the first RBI Governor to resign for personal reasons, the
shortest tenure since 1992.

3. The Nitish Kumar government on Friday approved a major plan with the aim of
empowering women and promoting self -reliance through financial assistance.
Under the 'Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme' approved in the cabinet
meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, a woman of each family in Bihar will be
provided initial assistance of Rs 10,000 to start employment of her choice. Six
months after the commencement of work, an evaluation will be made and depending
on the result, women can be eligible for additional assistance of up to ₹ 2
lakh.
नीतीश कुमार सरकार ने शुक्रवार को वित्तीय सहायता के माध्यम से महिलाओं को
सशक्त बनाने और आत्मनिर्भरता को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से एक प्रमुख योजना को

4. Kohima and Mumbai are among the
safest cities for women in India, while Delhi, Kolkata and Patna National
Annual Report and Women Safety Index (NARI) ranks the lowest in 2025. The NARI
index is published by a group of intellectuals and academics (GIA). The index
is based on a 12,770 women survey, in which cities are classified on the basis
of their safety level for women.

5. In the javelin throw, India's
Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra finished second in the 2025 Zurich Diamond
League final by throwing 85.01 meters javelin. Neeraj continued his great
series of making a place in the top two in international competitions 26
consecutive times. Julian Weber of Germany dominated with two throws of over 90
meters, including throwing the best of the season's best 91.51 meter javelin
and finished first.

6. Every year on 29 August, anti
-nuclear test International Day is observed. Its purpose is to make people
aware of the damage caused by nuclear weapons and their side effects. In the
64th session of the United Nations General Assembly on December 2, 2009, 29 August
was declared as anti -nuclear test International Day. It was first celebrated
in the year 2010. The United Nations declared on 26 September 2014 as
International Day for complete eradication of nuclear weapons.

मनाया गया था। संयुक्त राष्ट्र ने 2014 में 26 सितंबर को परमाणु हथियारों के पूर्ण
उन्मूलन के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस के रूप में घोषित किया था।
7. The Reserve Bank of India has
imposed a fine of Rs 44.7 lakh on Bandhan Bank for not following some statutory
and regulatory criteria. The bank commissioned employees and manually
intervened in account data of without appropriate audit trails. A fine has been
imposed on the basis of regulatory deficiencies. Bandhan Bank is a banking and
financial services company in India headquartered in Kolkata. On August 23,
2015, Bandhan Financial Services launched a full bank called "Bandhan
Bank" in West Bengal.

10. The Lupex mission jointly
developed by ISRO and Jaxa aims to explore the southern pole of the moon and
study its hidden resources, including water snow. Chandrayaan-5 will be the
fifth mission of the Chandrayaan series of India. Chandrayan-5/Lupax will prove
to be a major milestone in the long-term lunar roadmap of India, envisaging to
land Indian astronauts on the moon by 2040.
इसरो
और जाक्सा द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से विकसित लूपेक्स मिशन का उद्देश्य चंद्रमा के
