1. Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a leading Defence Public Sector
Undertaking (DPSU), has launched a Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) 'Atal'. 'Atal' is
the fifth of eight FPVs being built for the Indian Coast Guard (ICG). The
vessel is 52 metres long, 8 metres wide and has a payload of 320 tonnes. It is
equipped for coastal patrol, surveillance, search and rescue operations.

Jejurikar has been appointed as the next global president and CEO of Procter
& Gamble (P&G). He will take over on January 1, 2026. This is the first
time an Indian will lead P&G in its 187-year history. He will replace
current CEO Jon Moeller. Jejurikar has been with P&G for 36 years and
currently serves as the chief operating officer (COO).

Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Gyan Bharatam Mission'. The mission was
announced during the 124th episode of Mann Ki Baat. It aims to digitise and
preserve ancient Indian manuscripts. The initiative was first announced in the
Union Budget 2025. Its funding has been increased from ₹3.5 crore to ₹60 crore.
