1. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has launched
'Operation Kalanemi'.This operation targets fake saints who dupe people and
misuse religion, especially women. It aims to protect the dignity of true
religious teachings and maintain social harmony.

2 'Maratha Military Landscapes' have been
included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The decision was taken during the
47th session of the World Heritage Committee (WHC) held in Paris. These
landscapes developed between the 17th and 19th centuries.The list includes 12
components, which showcase strategic military prowess in various geographical
and geological regions.

3. Rajnath Singh chaired the first Governing Council meeting of the National Cadet Corps Alumni Association (NCCAA) in New Delhi. 7. Four eminent personalities have been nominated to Rajya Sabha
by President Draupadi Murmu. These include Ujjwal Nikam, C. Sadanandan Master,
Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Dr. Meenakshi Jain. Under Article 80 of the
Constitution, the President has the right to nominate persons to Rajya Sabha
who have made special contributions in the fields of art, literature, science,
social service and others.

8. The New Delhi-based All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) will
organise a three-day national symposium Shalyacon 2025 from July 13 to 15. The
symposium will be held on the occasion of Sushruta Jayanti. Sushruta Jayanti is
celebrated every year on July 15 and aims to pay tribute to Acharya Sushruta,
who is considered the father of surgery.

9. Federal Bank has recently appointed Venkataraman Venkateswaran
as its new executive director for a three-year term. The Reserve Bank of India
has approved his appointment. 59-year-old Venkateswaran is currently serving as
group president and chief financial officer. He will replace Shalini Warrier in
this position.

10. Public
sector banks are now the leaders in home loan financing. They have grown
significantly in the last four years. Their share increased to 43% in FY25.
Private banks' share saw a decline during this period. Competitive interest
rates and government initiatives are driving this growth. Overall loan growth
of public sector banks has outpaced private banks.
