1. The indigenously developed Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas Mk 1A made its first public flight from Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Nashik. On the occasion, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh described it as a "shining symbol of India's growing self-reliance." The LCA Tejas Mk 1A is a completely indigenous fighter jet, developed through joint efforts of HAL, DRDO, ADA and IAF. HAL's Nashik unit can now produce 8 Tejas Mk 1A aircraft per year, which will later be increased to 10 per year.

स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित लाइट कॉम्बैट एयरक्राफ्ट (LCA) तेजस Mk 1A ने अपनी पहली सार्वजनिक उड़ान  हिंदुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड (HAL), नासिक से भरी। इस अवसर पर रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने इसे “भारत की बढ़ती आत्मनिर्भरता का चमकता प्रतीक” बताया। LCA तेजस Mk 1A पूरी तरह से स्वदेशी फाइटर जेट है, जो HAL, DRDO, ADA और IAF के संयुक्त प्रयासों से विकसित हुआ है। HAL की नासिक इकाई में अब हर वर्ष 8 तेजस Mk 1A विमान तैयार किए जा सकते हैं, जिसे बाद में बढ़ाकर 10 प्रति वर्ष किया जाएगा।

2. The United Kingdom has topped the Hinrich-IMD Sustainable Trade Index 2025, overtaking New Zealand, which had held the top spot for the past three years. India has been ranked 23rd in the index, reflecting India's position in terms of sustainability in global trade. The Hinrich-IMD Sustainable Trade Index is released every two years and measures the sustainability, inclusiveness and environmental commitment of global trade. 30 major global economies were assessed in this index.

हिनरिच-IMD सस्टेनेबल ट्रेड इंडेक्स 2025 में यूनाइटेड किंगडम ने शीर्ष स्थान प्राप्त कर न्यूज़ीलैंड को पीछे छोड़ा है, जो पिछले तीन वर्षों से पहले स्थान पर बना हुआ था। वहीं भारत को इस सूचकांक में 23वां स्थान मिला है, जो वैश्विक व्यापार में स्थायित्व के लिहाज़ से भारत की स्थिति को दर्शाता है। Hinrich-IMD Sustainable Trade Index हर दो वर्षों में जारी किया जाता है और वैश्विक व्यापार की स्थायित्व, समावेशिता और पर्यावरणीय प्रतिबद्धता को मापता है। 30 प्रमुख वैश्विक अर्थव्यवस्थाओं का इस सूचकांक में मूल्यांकन किया गया।

3. Pakistan, grappling with economic crisis, has sought support from its close ally China to seek membership in the New Development Bank (NDB), set up by the BRICS grouping. The New Development Bank was established in 2015 by the BRICS countries — Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa — and aims to finance infrastructure and sustainable development projects in developing countries. The bank is based in Shanghai, China, and has an approved capital of $100 billion. KV Kamath of India was its first president.

आर्थिक संकट से जूझ रहे पाकिस्तान ने ब्रिक्स समूह द्वारा स्थापित न्यू डेवलपमेंट बैंक (NDB) की सदस्यता पाने के लिए अपने करीबी सहयोगी चीन से समर्थन मांगा है। न्यू डेवलपमेंट बैंक की स्थापना वर्ष 2015 में ब्रिक्स देशों — ब्राज़ील, रूस, भारत, चीन और दक्षिण अफ्रीका — द्वारा की गई थी। इसका उद्देश्य विकासशील देशों में बुनियादी ढांचे और सतत विकास परियोजनाओं को वित्तीय सहायता देना है। यह बैंक शंघाई, चीन में स्थित है और इसकी स्वीकृत पूंजी $100 अरब है। भारत के केवी कामथ इसके पहले अध्यक्ष थे।

4. The 14th edition of the India-Thailand joint military exercise was held at Umroi in Meghalaya from September 1-14, 2025. Objective: To enhance cooperation in counter-terrorism and counter-insurgency operations in semi-urban and jungle areas. Significance: Returns to India after five years, symbolizing a strengthened defense partnership under India's Act East and Thailand's Act West policies. Exercise Maitree was initiated in 2006 as an annual bilateral exercise between the Indian Army and the Royal Thai Army.

भारत-थाईलैंड संयुक्त सैन्य अभ्यास का 14वाँ संस्करण, 1-14 सितंबर, 2025 तक मेघालय के उमरोई में आयोजित किया गया। उद्देश्य: अर्ध-शहरी और जंगली क्षेत्रों में आतंकवाद-रोधी और उग्रवाद-रोधी अभियानों में सहयोग बढ़ाना। महत्व: पाँच वर्षों के बाद भारत में वापसी, भारत की एक्ट ईस्ट और थाईलैंड की एक्ट वेस्ट नीतियों के अंतर्गत एक सुदृढ़ रक्षा साझेदारी का प्रतीक। मैत्री अभ्यास की शुरुआत 2006 में हुई थी, जिसे भारतीय सेना और रॉयल थाई सेना के बीच एक वार्षिक द्विपक्षीय अभ्यास के रूप में शुरू किया गया था।

5. SLINEX 2025: The 12th edition of the India-Sri Lanka bilateral naval exercise, held in Colombo from 14 to 18 August 2025. Objective: To enhance interoperability and maritime cooperation within India's MAHASAGAR and SAGAR formations. SLINEX was initiated in 2005. It is a bilateral naval exercise between the Indian and Sri Lankan navies.

SLINEX 2025: भारत-श्रीलंका द्विपक्षीय नौसैनिक अभ्यास का 12वाँ संस्करण, 14 से 18 अगस्त 2025 तक कोलंबो में आयोजित किया गया। उद्देश्य: भारत के MAHASAGAR और SAGAR संरचनाओं के अंतर्गत अंतर-संचालन और समुद्री सहयोग को बढ़ाना। SLINEX की शुरुआत 2005 में हुई थी। यह भारत और श्रीलंका की नौसेनाओं के बीच एक द्विपक्षीय नौसैनिक अभ्यास है।

6. During World War II, in 1942, with the help of Japan, an armed force called the Azad Hind Fauj or Indian National Army (INA) was organized in Tokyo to liberate India from British occupation. Captain Mohan Singh, Rasbihari Bose and Niranjan Singh Gill played an important role in the formation of this army. On 21 October 1943, Subhash Chandra Bose, as the supreme commander of the Azad Hind Fauj, established the Azad Hind Government, the provisional government of independent India, in Singapore.

द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान सन 1942 में जापान की सहायता से टोकियो में भारत को अंग्रेजों के कब्जे से स्वतन्त्र कराने के लिये आजाद हिन्द फौज या इण्डियन नेशनल आर्मी (INA) नामक सशस्त्र सेना का संगठन किया। इस सेना के गठन में कैप्टन मोहन सिंह, रासबिहारी बोस एवं निरंजन सिंह गिल ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। 21 अक्टूबर 1943 में सुभाषचन्द्र बोस ने आजाद हिन्द फौज के सर्वोच्च सेनापति की हैसियत से सिंगापुर में स्वतंत्र भारत की अस्थायी सरकार आज़ाद हिन्द सरकार की स्थापना की।

7. Nirmal Kumar Minda, Executive Chairman of the Uno Minda Group, assumed office as President of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) on October 17. Along with him, Amitabh Chaudhry, Managing Director and CEO of Axis Bank, has been appointed Senior Vice President of ASSOCHAM. ASSOCHAM was founded in 1920 by a group of chambers of commerce led by the Calcutta Traders' Association. The association is headquartered in New Delhi.

यूनो मिंडा समूह के कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष निर्मल कुमार मिंडा ने 17 अक्टूबर को एसोसिएटेड चैंबर्स ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री ऑफ इंडिया (एसोचैम) के अध्यक्ष का पदभार ग्रहण किया। उनके साथ, एक्सिस बैंक के प्रबंध निदेशक एवं सीईओ अमिताभ चौधरी को एसोचैम का वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया है। एसोचैम की स्थापना 1920 में कलकत्ता ट्रेडर्स एसोसिएशन के नेतृत्व में वाणिज्य मंडलों के एक समूह द्वारा की गई थी। एसोसिएशन का मुख्यालय नई दिल्ली में स्थित है।

8. The Uttarakhand AI Impact Summit 2025 was organized in Dehradun by the IT Department of the Government of Uttarakhand in collaboration with the IndiaAI Mission, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The summit aimed to promote responsible and inclusive AI and highlight its role as a force for public good in various sectors. The event served as a prelude to the India AI Impact Summit 2026, to be held on February 19-20, 2026.

उत्तराखंड सरकार के IT विभाग द्वारा इलेक्ट्रॉनिकी और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत इंडियाAI मिशन के सहयोग से देहरादून में उत्तराखंड AI इम्पैक्ट समिट 2025 का आयोजन किया गया। इस शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य उत्तरदायी और समावेशी AI को बढ़ावा देना और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में जनहित के लिए एक शक्ति के रूप में इसकी भूमिका पर ज़ोर देना था। यह आयोजन 19-20 फरवरी, 2026 को आयोजित होने वाले भारत-AI इम्पैक्ट समिट 2026 की प्रस्तावना के रूप में आयोजित किया गया।

9. Exercise "Desert Tag-10" was a multinational air exercise hosted by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Air Force, with participation from several countries including the Indian Air Force as well as Australia, Bahrain, France, Germany, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States. It was conducted by the UAE Air Force from April 21 to May 8, 2025, at Al Dhafra Air Force Base.

अभ्यास "डेज़र्ट टैग-10" संयुक्त अरब अमीरात (यूएई) वायु सेना द्वारा आयोजित एक बहुराष्ट्रीय वायु अभ्यास था, जिसमें भारतीय वायु सेना के साथ-साथ ऑस्ट्रेलिया, बहरीन, फ्रांस, जर्मनी, कतर, सऊदी अरब, दक्षिण कोरिया, तुर्की, यूनाइटेड किंगडम और संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका सहित कई देशों ने भाग लिया। इसका आयोजन यूएई वायु सेना द्वारा 21 अप्रैल से 8 मई, 2025 तक अल धफरा वायु सेना अड्डे पर किया गया था।

10. The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is upgrading the Astra Mark 2 beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile, aiming to extend its operational range beyond 200 kilometers. The missile is already far more advanced than its predecessor. It enables Indian fighter jets to shoot down enemy aircraft without entering enemy airspace.

रक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन (डीआरडीओ) दृश्य सीमा से परे हवा से हवा में मार करने वाली अस्त्र मार्क 2 मिसाइल को उन्नत कर रहा है, जिसका लक्ष्य इसकी परिचालन सीमा को 200 किलोमीटर से आगे बढ़ाना है। यह मिसाइल पहले से ही अपनी क्षमता से कहीं अधिक उन्नत है।  यह भारतीय लड़ाकू विमानों को दुश्मन के हवाई क्षेत्र में प्रवेश किए बिना ही दुश्मन के विमानों को मार गिराने में सक्षम बनाता है।
