चेन्नई, अहमदाबाद और वाराणसी को स्मार्ट सिटी बनाने में सहायता करेगा जापान
जापान ने स्मार्ट सिटी के रूप में चेन्नई, अहमदाबाद और वाराणसी के विकास कार्यों से जुड़ने का निर्णय लिया है। इस आशय की जानकारी भारत में जापान के राजदूत श्री केंजी हीरामत्सु ने शहरी विकास मंत्री श्री एम. वेंकैया नायडू के साथ अपनी बैठक के दौरान दी।
Japan to assist in making Chennai, Ahmedabad and Varanasi Smart Cities
Japan has decided to be associated with the development of Chennai, Ahmedabad and Varanasi as smart cities. This was conveyed by Japan’s Ambassador to India Mr.Kenji Hiramatsu during his meeting with Minister of Urban Development Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu.

Britain has appointed a new ambassador to the European Union to lead Brexit negotiations, days after his predecessor quit due to concerns about the government's "muddled" strategy over exiting the economic bloc.
Tim Barrow, who will take charge as the UK's Permanent Representative (UKRep) to the EU, is a senior diplomat known as a "tough negotiator".

China launched its longest high-speed train service. The train, named "Shangri-la of the World", left Kunming at 11.05 a.m. on a 2,760-km trip to Beijing, which takes about 13 hours, Xinhua news agency reported.

Sahara extends sponsorship deal with Hockey India until 2021
The Sahara Group renewed its association with Hockey India (HI) by signing a sponsorship deal extending till 2021. Under the new agreement, the country's men's and women's hockey teams at both junior and senior levels will benefit from the company's support till 2021, aimed at propping India's preparations for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
