1- Indian Railways have introduced a new One Time Password (OTP) based refund system for tickets booked through authorized railway ticketing agents. The initiative is aimed at bringing in a transparent and customer-friendly refund system for reserved e-tickets which are cancelled or which are fully wait-listed dropped tickets.

2- Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde was appointed as the 47th Chief Justice of India.Justice Bobde will take oath as the CJI on November 18th, a day after incumbent Ranjan Gogoi demits office. He will have a tenure of 17 months and would demit office on April 23rd, 2021.

5-In order to increase the vote percentage in the elections, the government has provided the facility of voting to the elderly and differently-abled voters above 80 years of voting by postal ballot. On the recommendation of the Election Commission, the Law Ministry has issued a notification to implement this decision on 22 October.
