1- Indian Administrative Service officers Girish Chandra Murmu has been appointed as Lt. Governor of Jammu-Kashmir and R K Mathur as Lt. Governor of Ladakh. The incumbent Governor of the Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik has been moved to Goa. The two Union Territories will come into existence on 31st October.
भारतीय प्रशासनिक सेवा के अधिकारियों गिरीश चंद्र मुर्मू को जम्मू-कश्मीर के लेफ्टिनेंट गवर्नर और आर के माथुर को लद्दाख के लेफ्टिनेंट गवर्नर के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। जम्मू-कश्मीर के गवर्नर सत्य पाल मलिक को गोवा में स्थानांतरित किया गया है। दोनों केंद्र शासित प्रदेश 31 अक्टूबर को अस्तित्व में आएंगे।
2- CEO- Prasar Bharati, Shashi Shekhar Vempati gave away Rajbhasha Awards to the winners of Hindi Pakhwada competition held at Prasar Bharati secretariat. Winners, who received awards, are employees at Prasar Bharati Secretariat. The theme of the competition was Plastic Free India and Cleanliness drive. The competition was conducted in 10 categories, including essay writing, poster making, story writing and others.

3- New Delhi and Islamabad inked agreement on Kartarpur corridor. The agreement relates to the modalities for operationalisation of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor at Zero Point, International Boundary, Dera Baba Nanak.The highlights of the Agreement are, Indian pilgrims of all faiths and persons of Indian origin can use the corridor and the travel will be Visa Free.
नई दिल्ली और इस्लामाबाद ने करतारपुर कॉरिडोर पर समझौता किया। यह समझौता जीरो प्वाइंट, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सीमा, डेरा बाबा नानक में करतारपुर साहिब कॉरिडोर के परिचालन के तौर-तरीकों से संबंधित है। समझौते के अनुसार, सभी धर्मों के भारतीय तीर्थयात्री और भारतीय मूल के व्यक्ति कॉरिडोर का उपयोग कर सकते हैं और यात्रा वीजा मुक्त होगी।
4- Ladakh administration is organizing a 3-Day Ladakh Literature Festival from 29th to 31st October. The first-ever Ladakh Literature festival aims to celebrate the uniqueness of the region in the fields of Art, Culture and Literature. There will be screenings of Ladakhi films, discussions on Heritage and presentations on History and Archeology of Ladakh, during the festival.

6-Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the services of new number - 112, in a ceremonial function at Lucknow. The new single helpline number 112 is an integration of all immediate assistance including police, fire, women helpline and ambulance. Dial 100 was launched by the previous government in 2016 as an ambitious high-tech project for providing immediate aid.

7- Fourth Ayurveda Day with a theme of 'Ayurveda for Longevity' was celebrated in Leh. In a programme organized in National Research Institute for Sowa-Rigpa, the traditional Sowa-Rigpa practitioners called Amchis from various parts of the Ladakh have participated. Sowa-Rigpa is one of the medical practices recognized under Ministry of Ayush, practised in Himalayan states and countries.

8-Boxer Deepak won silver at World Military Games. Deepak lost the finals of the men's light fly 46-59 kg weight category against Zhussupov Temritas from Kazakhstan.
