1- The cabinet approved the ordinance banning e-cigarettes. The decision to ban electronic cigarettes was taken at a meeting of the Union Cabinet in Delhi.

2-A short movie made with the financial assistance from Prasar Bharati has been nominated for Oscars. The movie "Moti Bagh" revolving around the life and hard work of an octogenarian farmer from Uttarakhand has been directed by a three time national award winner Nirmal Chandra Dandariyal. The film made with the financial assistance from Prasar Bharati is about the life of an 82 year old farmer from Uttarakhand, Vidyadutt Sharma. Mr Sharma lives in Saanguda village of Kaljikhal block of Pauri district. It is the first film from Uttarakhand which will be showcased on a prestigious global platform like Oscars.
प्रसार भारती की वित्तीय सहायता से बनी एक लघु फिल्म को ऑस्कर के लिए नामांकित किया गया है। फिल्म "मोती बाग" उत्तराखंड के एक ऑक्टोजेनियन किसान के जीवन और मेहनत के इर्द-गिर्द घूमती है, जिसे तीन बार के राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता निर्मल चंद्र डंडरियाल द्वारा निर्देशित किया गया है।यह फिल्म उत्तराखंड के एक 82 वर्षीय किसान विद्यादत्त शर्मा के जीवन के बारे में है। श्री शर्मा पौड़ी जिले के कलजीखाल ब्लॉक के सांगुडा गाँव में रहते हैं। यह उत्तराखंड की पहली फिल्म है जिसे ऑस्कर जैसे प्रतिष्ठित वैश्विक मंच पर प्रदर्शित किया जाएगा।
3- President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga is arriving in New Delhi afternoon on a five day State visit. He will be accompanied by a high-level official and business delegation. Mr Battulga will be accorded ceremonial reception at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The visiting dignitary will meet President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

4- The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, under Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, has developed a Management Information System, MIS for stakeholders of Accessible India Campaign. Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawarchand Gehlot launched the MIS portal in New Delhi in the presence of Secretaries of various nodal ministries including Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways etc.

7- In Arunachal Pradesh, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Air Command Air Marshal R D Mathur and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Command jointly inaugurated the resurfaced runway at Vijaynagar Advanced Landing Ground in Changlang District. This has re-established the military transport aircraft connectivity at this Eastern most hamlet of India.

9- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will embark on a three-day official visit to Finland from 20th September. This will be his maiden visit to Finland after assuming charge as External Affairs Minister.
विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर 20 सितंबर से फिनलैंड की तीन दिवसीय आधिकारिक यात्रा पर जाएंगे। विदेश मंत्री के रूप में कार्यभार संभालने के बाद यह फिनलैंड की उनकी पहली यात्रा होगी।
