1- Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railways, PiyushGoyal, will launch the Global Innovation Index (GII) in New Delhi on 24th July 2019. This is the first time that the GII is being launched in an emerging economy.
केंद्रीय वाणिज्य और उद्योग और रेलवे मंत्री, पीयूष गोयल, 24 जुलाई 2019 को नई दिल्ली में ग्लोबल इनोवेशन इंडेक्स (जीआईआई) का शुभारंभ करेंगे। यह पहली बार है जब जीआईआई को एक विकासशील अर्थव्यवस्था में लॉन्च किया जा रहा है।
2- To sustain the reforms brought in by scheme on ‘End to End Computerization of Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS) Operations’ the Department has launched a new scheme namely “Integrated Management of Public Distribution System (IM-PDS)" for implementation during 2018-19 and 2019-20.
लक्षित सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली के अंत से कम्प्यूटरीकरण (टीपीडीएस) संचालन पर स्कीम द्वारा लाए गए सुधारों को बनाए रखने के लिए विभाग ने 2018-19 और 2019-20 के दौरान कार्यान्वयन के लिए "एकीकृत सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली का एकीकृत प्रबंधन (आईएम-पीडीएस)" नामक एक नई योजना शुरू की है।
3- Development and Entrepreneurship and National Skill Development Corporation to provide alternative livelihood to beedi workers and their dependents. Total 3620 beedi workers were trained under the skill development programme and 461 of them shifted to alternate livelihoods.
श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय ने बीड़ी श्रमिकों और उनके आश्रितों को वैकल्पिक आजीविका प्रदान करने के लिए कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता मंत्रालय और राष्ट्रीय कौशल विकास निगम के सहयोग से एक कौशल विकास कार्यक्रम शुरू किया है। कुल 3620 बीड़ी श्रमिकों को कौशल विकास कार्यक्रम के तहत प्रशिक्षित किया गया और उनमें से 461 को वैकल्पिक आजीविका में स्थानांतरित कर दिया गया।
4-The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Ajay Bhadoo as Joint Secretary to President Ram Nath Kovind. Bhadoo, a Gujarat batch IAS officer is currently serving as the Vadodara Municipal Commissioner.
मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति ने राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद के संयुक्त सचिव के रूप में अजय भादू की नियुक्ति को मंजूरी दी। भादू, एक गुजरात बैच के आईएएस अधिकारी वर्तमान में वडोदरा नगर आयुक्त के रूप में सेवारत हैं।
5- Vocalist S. Sowmya has been chosen for the Sangita Kalanidhi award of the Music Academy. She will preside over the 93rd annual conference of the Academy.. The Sangita Kalanidhi and other music awards will be conferred on the awardees at the Sadas of Music festival, on January 1, 2020.

7- Britain swimmer Adam Peaty has broken the world record in the men’s 100-metre breaststroke at the World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea. He smashed the previous record of 57.10 seconds that was set by him at last year’s European Championships, after winning the semi finals in 56.88 seconds.
ब्रिटेन के तैराक एडम पीट्टी ने दक्षिण कोरिया के ग्वांगजू में विश्व चैंपियनशिप में पुरुषों के 100 मीटर ब्रेस्टस्ट्रोक में विश्व रिकॉर्ड तोड़ा है। उन्होंने 56.88 सेकंड में सेमीफाइनल जीतने के बाद पिछले साल की यूरोपीय चैंपियनशिप में 57.10 सेकंड का अपना पिछला रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिया।
8- Shiva Thapa became India’s first gold-medallist at the President’s Cup boxing tournament after getting a walkover in the finals in Astana, Kazakhstan. Thapa was to fight Kazakhstan's Zakir Safiullin in the summit clash.
शिव थापा, कजाकिस्तान के अस्ताना में फाइनल में वॉकओवर पाने के बाद प्रेसिडेंट कप मुक्केबाजी टूर्नामेंट में भारत के पहले स्वर्ण पदक विजेता बने। थापा को कजाकिस्तान के जाकिर सफीउलीन से लड़ना था।
