India is now producing the cheapest solar power among the G20 countries, an International Renewable Energy Agency survey shared by the World Economic Forum stated. The costs of building large-scale solar installations in India fell by 27% in 2018, year-on-year, it added. Average solar prices of large-scale Indian installations were under a third of Canada's, where costs were the highest.

Indian-American teen wins $100,000 quiz show prize in the US
Indian-American teenager Avi Gupta has won $100,000 (nearly ₹70 lakh) prize money in the 2019 Teen Jeopardy, an individual quiz show in the US. In this show Avi Gupta beat 15 other students including three Indian-Americans.

Kapil Dev leads ₹1 crore funding in legal-tech startup WizCounsel
Former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev has led an around ₹1-crore angel funding round in Delhi-based online marketplace for freelance legal, tax and accounting experts WizCounsel. The round saw participation from business consulting firm SARC Associates' Founder and Chairman Sunil Gupta and IT consultancy Nagarro's Founder and CEO Manas Fuloria. WizCounsel was founded in 2018 by Ranu Gupta.

Parliament approved the Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019
The Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Bill, 2019 was introduced in Lok Sabha by Mr. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry on June 24, 2019. It amends the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and replaces an Ordinance that was promulgated on March 2, 2019. The Act provides for the establishment, development and management of Special Economic Zones for the promotion of exports.

विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्र (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2019 को 24 जून, 2019 को वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री श्री पीयूष गोयल द्वारा लोकसभा में पेश किया गया।संसद ने विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्र (संशोधन) विधेयक, 2019 को मंज़ूरी दे दी है जो उद्योगों को विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्रों में इकाइयों की स्थापना की अनुमति प्रदान करता है. इस विधेयक ने विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्र (संशोधन) अध्यादेश 2019 का स्थान लिया है, इस अध्यादेश को मार्च, 2019 में लागू किया गया था. इस विधेयक के द्वारा विशेष आर्थिक क्षेत्र अधिनियम, 2005 में संशोधन किया गया है.
