1. WEF recognises Tata Steel's Netherlands plant as 'factory of the future'
The World Economic Forum (WEF) announced that Tata Steel's plant at IJmuiden in the Netherlands has been inducted into its prestigious community, a distinction awarded to manufacturing facilities which are seen as leaders in technologies of the 'Fourth Industrial Revolution'.
Assessing more than 1,000 factories in 2018, the WEF recognised Tata Steel's IJmuiden plant and six others as 'Manufacturing Lighthouses' state-of-the-art production facilities which successfully adopt and integrate the cutting-edge technologies of the future and drive financial and operational impact.
डब्ल्यूईएफ ने टाटा स्टील के नीदरलैंड संयंत्र को ‘भविष्य के कारखाना’ के रूप में मान्यता दी
विश्व आर्थिक मंच (डब्ल्यूईएफ) ने घोषणा की कि नीदरलैंड के आईजेमुइदेन में टाटा स्टील के संयंत्र को उसके प्रतिष्ठित समुदाय में शामिल कर लिया गया है। यह सम्मान उन विनिर्माण इकाइयों को दिया जाता है जिन्हें 'चौथी औद्योगिक क्रांति' की प्रौद्योगिकियों में अगुवा के रूप में देखा जाता है।’
वर्ष 2018 में 1,000 से अधिक कारखानों का आकलन करते हुए, विश्व आर्थिक मंच ने टाटा स्टील के आईजेमुइदेन संयंत्र और छह अन्य को 'विनिर्माण लाइटहाउस' के रूप में मान्यता दी - जहां अत्याधुनिक उत्पादन सुविधाएं हैं, जो भविष्य की अत्याधुनिक तकनीकों को सफलतापूर्वक अपनाती हैं और एकीकृत करती हैं तथा वित्तीय और परिचालन प्रभाव उत्पन्न करती हैं।
2. Alok Verma removed as CBI Director by PM Modi-chaired committee
CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) director Alok Verma has been removed from his post and Additional Director M Nageshwar Rao has been given interim charge of CBI.

3. Cabinet approves MoU on Maritime issues between India and Denmark
The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Maritime issues between India and Denmark.
The MoU is proposed to be signed during the upcoming visit of the WIP from Denmark to India in January, 2019.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने भारत और डेनमार्क में समुद्रीय मुद्दों के बारे में समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) को मंजूरी दी है।
समझौता ज्ञापन पर डेनमार्क के डब्ल्यूआईपी की जनवरी 2019 में होने वाली भारत यात्रा के दौरान हस्ताक्षर करने का प्रस्ताव किया गया है।
4. Cabinet approves Signing of the TOR provide tax assistance to Swaziland
The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the Signing of Terms of Reference (TOR) governing the engagement of the designated Indian Expert to provide tax assistance to Swaziland (now known as Eswatini) under the Tax Inspectors Without Borders Programme between India and Eswatini.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी की अध्यक्षता में केन्द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने भारत और स्वाजीलैंड (इसका नया नाम ‘इस्वातिनी’ है) के बीच ‘सीमा विहीन कर निरीक्षक कार्यक्रम’ के तहत स्वाजीलैंड को कर संबंधी सहायता देने के लिए नामित भारतीय विशेषज्ञ की सहभागिता से संबंधित विचारार्थ विषय (टीओआर) पर हस्ताक्षर किए जाने को मंजूरी दे दी है।

The Union Cabinet approved a proposal for a USD 75-billion bilateral swap arrangement between India and Japan, a move aimed at enhancing the RBI's ability to manage exchange rate volatility.
भारत-जापान के बीच 75 अरब डॉलर के मुद्रा अदला-बदली प्रस्ताव को सरकार की मंजूरी
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने भारत और जापान के बीच 75 अरब डॉलर की द्विपक्षीय मुद्रा अदला-बदली व्यवस्था के प्रस्ताव को मंजूरी दे दी। इस कदम से रिजर्व बैंक की मुद्रा विनिमय दर के उतार-चढ़ाव के प्रबंधन की क्षमता बढ़ेगी।
