1. Girish Radhakrishnan appointed CMD of United India Insurance Company

2. First ever BIMSTEC military exercise begins near Pune
In a first such initiative, militaries of BIMSTEC member nations barring Nepal began a week-long anti-terror exercise at Aundh near Pune to enhance cooperation in dealing with the challenge of terrorism in the region.
Indian Army officials said the exercise is focused on boosting inter-operability among the forces and exchanging best practices to contain terror-related activities.
पुणे के पास पहला बिम्सटेक सैन्य अभ्यास शुरू
अपनी तरह की पहली पहल में, नेपाल को छोड़कर बिम्सटेक सदस्य देशों की थलसेनाओं ने पुणे के पास औंध में एक सप्ताह का आतंक-रोधी युद्धाभ्यास शुरू किया। इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य क्षेत्र में आतंकवाद की चुनौती से निपटने में सहयोग बढ़ाना है।
भारतीय सेना के अधिकारियों ने कहा कि अभ्यास में मुख्य ध्यान बलों के बीच आपसी संवाद को बढावा देने तथा आतंक संबंधी गतिविधियों से निपटने के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ परंपराओं की अदला-बदली करने पर है।
3. Om Prakash Mishra set to become Nepal's new Chief Justice
Om Prakash Mishra, who studied law in India, is set to become Nepal's new Chief Justice after the Parliamentary Hearing Committee unanimously endorsed his name for the top judicial post.
न्यायमूर्ति ओम प्रकाश मिश्रा होंगे नेपाल के नए प्रधान न्यायाधीश
भारत में कानून की शिक्षा हासिल कर चुके ओम प्रकाश मिश्रा नेपाल के नए प्रधान न्यायाधीश होंगे । संसदीय सुनवाई समिति ने इस शीर्ष पद के लिए सर्वसम्मति से उनके नाम को मंजूरी दी।
4. Junior shooters add silver, bronze to India's tally at ISSF WC
The Indian junior men's skeet team clinched a silver, while Gurnihal Singh Garcha picked up the individual bronze in the same event at the ISSF World Championships.
The trio of Gurnihal (119), Anantjeet Singh Naruka (117) and Ayush Rudraraju (119) combined for a score of 355 for a second-place finish in the finals.
The 19-year-old Gurnihal also made the six-strong individual final, where he shot a score of 46 to claim the individual bronze, the biggest achievement of his international career so far.

भारत की जूनियर पुरुष स्कीट टीम ने आईएसएसएफ विश्व चैंपियनशिप में रजत जबकि इसी स्पर्धा में गुरनिहाल सिंह गार्चा ने व्यक्तिगत कांस्य पदक जीता।
गुरनिहाल (119), अनंतजीत सिंह नारुका (117) और आयुश रुद्रराजू (119) की तिकड़ी ने 355 अंक के साथ दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया।
उन्नीस साल के गुरनिहाल ने छह निशानेबाजों के व्यक्तिगत फाइनल में भी जगह बनाई और 46 अंक के साथ कांस्य पदक जीता। यह उनके अंतरराष्ट्रीय करियर की सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि है।
5. India steps up development partnership with Afghanistan
India and Afghanistan agreed to enhance cooperation under the New Development Partnership as part of which New Delhi had announced taking up 116 "high impact community developmental projects" in the war-torn country.
भारत ने अफगानिस्तान के साथ विकास साझेदारी बढ़ाने का फैसला किया
भारत और अफगानिस्तान सोमवार को नई विकास साझेदारी के तहत सहयोग बढ़ाने पर सहमत हुए। इसके तहत भारत ने युद्ध से प्रभावित देश में 116 ‘‘उच्च प्रभाव वाली सामुदायिक विकास परियोजनाएं’’ चलाने की घोषणा की थी।
