15th Asia Media Summit
The 15th Asia Media Summit (AMS) 2018 is being hosted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, jointly with the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi and Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL), from 10th-12th May, 2018 in New Delhi.

सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय 15वे एशिया मीडिया शिखर सम्मेलन(एएमएस) का आयोजन नई दिल्ली में 10 से 12 मई 2018 तक भारतीय जनसंचार संस्थान(आईआईएमसी) और ब्रॉडकास्ट इंजीनियरिंग कन्सलटेंट इंडिया लिमिटेड(बेसिल) द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से किया जायेगा।
शिखर सम्मेलन में 39 देशो के 200 विदेशी प्रतिनिधि भी भागीदारी करेंगे।

NITI Aayog and Google sign SoI
Aiming to foster growth for India’s nascent artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) ecosystem, NITI Aayog and Google have come together to work on a range of initiatives to help build the AI ecosystem across the country. A Statement of Intent (SoI) was signed to this effect between NITI Aayog and Google.
The NITI Aayog has been entrusted to setup a national programme to conduct research and development in frontier technologies such as AI. In furtherance of this mandate, NITI Aayog has been developing India’s national strategy on AI along with the National Data and Analytics Portal to enable the wide deployment and use of AI.

भारत की उदीयमान कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता (एआई) और मशीनी ज्ञान (एमएल) के पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से नीति आयोग और गूगल कई पहलों पर एक साथ काम करेगा, जिससे देश में एआई पारिस्थितिक तंत्र निर्मित करने में मदद मिलेगी।
इसके लिए नीति आयोग और गूगल के बीच एक आशय पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किये।
नीति आयोग को एआई जैसी प्रौद्योगिकियां विकसित करने और अनुसंधान के लिए राष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रम तैयार करने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है। इस जिम्मेदारी पर नीति आयोग राष्ट्रीय डाटा और एनालिटिक्स पोर्टल के साथ एआई पर राष्ट्रीय कार्य नीति विकसित कर रहा है, ताकि व्यापक रूप से एआई का उपयोग किया जा सके।
Agreement between India and Guatemala
A pact has been signed between India and Guatemala for strengthening diplomatic cooperation through Respective Foreign Service Institutes in the educational field.
The agreement was inked after a meeting between visiting Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and his Guatemala counterpart, Jafeth Cabrera Franco in Guatemala city.
Naidu also held meeting with the Guatemala President and exchanged views on various bilateral and international issues.
Key points of the visit
· Various issues were discussed at the high-level meet including trade, cultural diversity and economic growth.
· The main focus was on core sectors such as pharmaceutical, cooperation in education, technology, conservation of wildlife, yoga, tourism and automobiles.
भारत और ग्वाटेमाला के बीच समझौता
भारत और ग्वाटेमाला ने शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में विदेश सेवा संस्थानों के माध्यम से राजनयिक सहयोग मजबूत करने का समझौता किया है। ग्वाटेमाला में उपराष्ट्रपति एम. वेंकैया नायडू और ग्वाटेमाला के उपराष्ट्रपति जाफेथ केबरेरा की बैठक के बाद इस समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किये गए।
बैठक में व्यापार, संस्कृति और आर्थिक विकास जैसे विभिन्न मुद्दों पर चर्चा की गई।
बैठक में शिक्षा में सहयोग, प्रौद्योगिकी, जंगली जीव का संरक्षण, योगा, पर्यटन और ऑटो मोबाइल जैसे प्रमुख क्षेत्रों पर जोर दिया गया।
The Government of India signed a loan deal worth $ 200 million with the World Bank for the National Nutrition Mission.

Ø The loan would help the Government of India in achieving its goal of reducing STUNTING in children 0-6 years of age from 38.4% to 25% by the year 2022.
Ø The POSHAN was launched by the Prime Minister on 8th March 2018 at Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan.
