IIT Delhi and University of Delhi in the world's top 200 universities
A meagre two Indian institutions (the IIT Delhi and University of Delhi) figured in the world's top 200 universities compared to 49 from the USA, 30 from United Kingdom, 11 from Germany and 8 from China & Australia, a joint study by industry body ASSOCHAM and think tank Yes Institute said today. The ASSOCHAM-Yes institute joint study reveals that there is no other Indian institution in the top 200.

विश्व के शीर्ष 200 विश्वविद्यालयों में देश के महज दो संस्थान आईआईटी दिल्ली और दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय ही स्थान बनाने में कामयाब हो सके हैं. उद्योग संगठन एसोचैम और यस इंस्टीट्यूट के सर्वेक्षण से यह जानकारी सामने आयी है.
इस अध्ययन में अमेरिका के 49, ब्रिटेन के 30, जर्मनी के 11 तथा चीन एवं ऑस्ट्रेलिया के 8-8 संस्थानों को जगह मिली है.
Obituary - Bhai Vaidya
Veteran socialist leader, freedom fighter and former state minister Bhai Vaidya passed away after a brief illness. He was 89. He had participated in the Quit India movement in 1942, Goa freedom struggle and united Maharashtra movement. He was jailed 25 times during various movements.
Vaidya, who believed in value-based politics, had also participated in the 4,000-km padyatra from Delhi to Kanyakumari undertaken by Chandrashekhar in the eighties. He was a member of various committee in the civic body.
निधन - भाई वैद्य
वयोवृद्ध समाजवादी नेता, स्वतंत्रता सेनानी और पूर्व राज्य मंत्री भाई वैद्य का निधन हो गया है। वह 89 वर्ष के थे। उन्होंने 1942 में भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन, गोवा स्वतंत्रता संग्राम और संयुक्त महाराष्ट्र आंदोलन में भाग लिया था।विभिन्न आंदोलनों के दौरान वह 25 बार जेल गए थे।
वैद्य, जो मूल्य आधारित राजनीति में विश्वास करते थे, ने अस्सी के दशक में चंद्रशेखर द्वारा किए गए 4,000 किलोमीटर की दिल्ली से कन्याकुमारी तक की पदयात्रा में हिस्सा लिया था। वह नागरिक निकाय में विभिन्न समिति के सदस्य भी थे।
APPOINTMENT - Sanjeev Nautiyal
SBI Life Insurance has appointed Sanjeev Nautiyal as its new Managing Director and CEO. He replaces Arijit Basu, who takes over a key role in the State Bank of India Group. Nautiyal started his career with State Bank of India in 1985 as a probationary officer in the bank’s Lucknow Circle.

एसबीआई लाइफ इंश्योरेंस ने अपने नए प्रबंध निदेशक और सीईओ के रूप में संजीव नौटियाल को नियुक्त किया है। वह अरिजीत बसु की जगह लेंगे। नौटियाल ने बैंक के लखनऊ सर्कल में परिवीक्षाधीन अधिकारी के रूप में 1 9 85 में स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के साथ अपने करियर की शुरुआत की थी।
